Guest guest
Dear All, Over the millennia, many of us have not had the privelege to enjoy the spiritual beauty within other spiritual traditions...largely of course... due to the fact that they have been forbidden to us. Now...many of us are finally realizing that all the 'spiritual forbiddenness' against other spiritual traditions has not come from God Almighty...but it has been orchestrated by 'power-hungry' and 'money-hungry religious leaders...most of whom have NO TRUE SPIRITUALITY WITHIN, but are only WORSHIPPING THE EXTERNAL FORM, (called 'religion'). This fact is backed up by the claim that each individual religious organization claims that they alone have the Absolute Truth. This claim of theirs...of having the Absolute Truth... in itself, reveals their spiritual blindness, because Absolute Truth can never reside in an organization....it can only reside within the Temple of the Holy Spirit of a human being. The realization of the spiritual blindness of religious organizations in general is quite shocking to say the least. When the realization of the spiritual blindness of religious organizations hits us, we realize that we have some adjustments to make. Most of us have been dominated by religion of one form of another sometime in our life, and it takes a bit of spiritual adjustment to regain our own spiritual birthright. That spiritual birthright, according to Shri Mataji is to be our own master, our own teacher, and our own guru. In Reality, that master, teacher, and guru, is the Spirit Within AND DEFINITELY NOT the Organization Without, though they would like you to think that they are your master, teacher, and guru. The penduluum is swinging, however, and many of us are becoming more comfortable with the seeking after the Spirit Within. Many of us are also starting to enjoy the Spiritual Gems of other Spiritual Traditions. And why should we not do so???!!! In that spirit, please enjoy the URL below where a person from the Sufi Spiritual Tradition explains about " Allah " being the Arabic Proper name of the One God. He also explains that all the other names, descriptions and titles....are a description of the actual attributes of God Almighty (or Allah). It also makes sense what he says about the names, descriptions and titles giving us a way to recognize the wonder and glory of God Almighty or " Allah " . violet The Beautiful Names of Allah... " The glorious name Allâh, subhâna wa ta'âlâ, is the greatest and most beautiful of all the names. The name Allâh encompasses all of the divine names and attributes of perfection. The name Allâh is the Arabic proper name of the One, while other names, descriptions and titles such as these ninety-nine beautiful names are considered to be attributes of Allâh, they are the signs by which we recognize the wonder and glory of the Almighty One. The essence of all attributes, descriptions and names are unified in this one name, Allâh, which denotes the sacred perfection of love, harmony and beauty " ... Guest guest
Dear All, There are also Beautiful Names for God in Hebrew, as the Hebrew prophets in the Bible and the Torah used a wider variety of descriptive names and attributes for God Almighty. These " Beautiful Names for God Almighty " should have been handed down from generation to generation in the Christian tradition. Instead, its esoteric absence, in my opinion, has left Christianity with a great spiritual dearth of spiritual expression. What is missing in Christianity today is the very expression of contemplation, meditation, and prayer upon the " Beautiful Names of God Almighty " as known and understood by the Hebrew Prophets in the Bible and in the Torah. Why this should ever have been removed by religious leaders is beyond my understanding. They cannot have been very spiritually discerning, for the one great love and task of the true believer is to worship God in Spirit and in Truth. Toward that end, the knowledge of the " Beautiful Names of God " is very important as this worship is done within the Heart of the Believer...in the Spirit Within...and is known in the Hindu tradition as " Bhakti " . The Sufis can indeed teach those of the Christian tradition all about this bhakti also, for " bhakti " is one of the most direct routes to achieving One-ness with God Almighty. As the Christian praises and worships God Almighty, using His Beautiful Names, the Grace of God will flow from the Beloved God to the Loved One. That is what worship is about. Worship of God releases the qualities of God Almighty within ourselves and makes us more like Him. Violet Beautiful Names in Hebrew Throughout recorded history, Beautiful Names of God have been revealed to the prophets of various cultures world-wide. For example, the Hebrew prophets, as recorded in the books of the Old Testament and the Torah, used a wide variety of Beautiful Names to express the divine attributes. The following are a few examples of the numerous Hebrew Beautiful Names given in the books of the Old Testament, along with a common English translation (although some would read Adonoi rather than Jehovah): (http://wahiduddin.net/words/99_pages/app_d_hebrew.htm) , " Violet " <violet.tubb@. ...> wrote: > > Dear All, > > Over the millennia, many of us have not had the privelege to enjoy the spiritual beauty within other spiritual traditions...largely of course... due to the fact that they have been forbidden to us. > > Now...many of us are finally realizing that all the 'spiritual forbiddenness' against other spiritual traditions has not come from > God Almighty...but it has been orchestrated by 'power-hungry' and 'money-hungry religious leaders...most of whom have NO TRUE SPIRITUALITY WITHIN, but are only WORSHIPPING THE EXTERNAL FORM, (called 'religion'). While Khan's mother Salma, sisters Alvira and Arpita, brother Sohail and his wife Seema paid their respects at the Sikh temple, Salman even took a dip in the holy sarovar and took part in the traditional `ardas' in the afternoon. After the `ardas', Salma Khan placed the Rumala Sahib (covering of the holy book) that she had especially carried from Mumbai, on the `Shri Guru Granth Sahib' and prayed for the welfare of her son. Salman, who has two cases against him — the black buck case and a hit and run case — could well do with some divine intervention at the moment.
