Guest guest
Dear All, Here is an email i received from a yogi whose identity i will not reveal. They say: - " I always feel like im doing something wrong if I go to meetings and spend time with the yuvas, but don't show up for Puja, because im tired from work, or because I want to do other things. I feel like its " missing church " or something. I mean I know worshiping during puja is very special and many vibrations are there and it's a good thing, but I also feel like maybe it is better if I don't partake. I mean I feel like maybe its not always best if I go but better to meditate on my own and worship in my own way and be connected in such a devout way daily, even if that has to be built. I mean it seems like its go to work, deal with life, come home meditate and occasionally do a huge celebration, at my collective. I want to learn to do what you guys do and try to live the teachings and infuse situations with introspection and the meditative state as a lifestyle, meditation being an aspect of that lifestyle, not just something(s) you do in addition to your daily life like playing soccer on a team etc. Nothing has been said outright, except that I get this feeling that when I say im not going to go to puja and I don't have a good reason, I hear this tone in peoples voices like it should be the most important thing and that by missing it im doing something terrible against myself, and worse yet against........ I was going to finish that sentence but when I went to find the word to place at the end of that sentence, I had suddenly could not thing of who im really harming by that, is in Shri mataji. IT was like suddenly a thought popped into my head saying " well who are you really insulting? " but in a way where i it felt as thought even puja was just an illusion and that its the spirit that i should be devoting myself too or something like that.....hard to explain....Weird. Anyways..... yeah. I've asked you this before, but am I doing something wrong, or is the divine going to be not pleased with my lack of attendance or interest in worshipping his aspects in a collective way or an official way like at a puja or what not? Dear Yogi, You are doing nothing wrong if you go to meetings and spend time with yuvas. If you don't show up for puja because you are tired from work and want to do other things, nobody is going to punish you, not even the Divine, because you have free will. Nobody forces anything on you. If you are made to feel that you are 'missing church' or something like that, then 'pujas' are not having the right understanding for you. Pujas are spiritual ceremonies; collective spiritual ceremonies. It should not be 'church-like'. If it is 'church-like' which is very much an external focussing, then it is not having its essential meaning for you; you are not being able to imbibe its essence. You said: - " I mean I know worshiping during puja is very special and many vibrations are there and it's a good thing, but I also feel like maybe it is better if I don't partake. " ......(It sounds to me that you feel better if you do not always partake, because when you do, it seems to be a very external focus for you, rather than an inner meditative focussing.) You say: - " I want to learn to do what you guys do and try to live the teachings and infuse situations with introspection and the meditative state as a lifestyle, meditation being an aspect of that lifestyle, not just something(s) you do in addition to your daily life like playing soccer on a team etc. " (You can do that, and when you do, pujas, too, will become more meaningful for you also. They will also become very spiritually deep for you.) You say: - " Nothing has been said outright, except that I get this feeling that when I say im not going to go to puja and I don't have a good reason, I hear this tone in peoples voices like it should be the most important thing and that by missing it im doing something terrible against myself, and worse yet against........ " (i have had that experience too. Don't worry about that. There are just times when you are not THERE. Your spirit has to be 'in it' to enjoy it. Real yogis will not try and make you feel guilty, when you have other issues happening, which you have to deal with. i understand completely. Sometimes we are dealing with spiritual things, whereby we are not prepared to face up to a puja. Sometimes, it is other things in our lives; problems that we might be dealing with. At such times, it is best to surrender everything to the Divine Mother within, and then see if you will go or not. She understands, and will not punish you just because you don't go to a puja. One day, when Sahaja Love is established in the world, you won't be able to keep people away from these ceremonies, called 'pujas'.) i guess what i am saying is that desire to go or not to go to pujas also reflects on the collective experience that you are having. You cannot discount that, either. The more that the spiritual enlightenment is within individuals in a collective, the more people will be drawn to that light. You say: - " I was going to finish that sentence but when I went to find the word to place at the end of that sentence, I had suddenly could not thing of who im really harming by that, is in Shri mataji. Everything else will fall in place then!) love and best wishes, violet
