Dear Rose and All,

As Sahaja Yogis we are not taught to turn a blind eye to what is going on around

us. Instead we are to use our Spiritual Powers to change it. i have joined your

Avian Forum, just to keep myself 'further informed'. i have noticed that regular

media, politics, etc. just does not 'cut it' anymore. There doesn't seem to be

any real substance to the news anymore. It does not seem really 'real' anymore,

like we REALLY GET THE REAL NEWS anymore. i think we are actually being kept in

the dark, and this is not good!

This makes me think that we all need to be more involved in changing the Kali

Yuga (Dark Ages) to the Satya Yuga (Golden Age)in a practical way, such as

Sahaja Yogis becoming politicians and changing the system from within, just like

Shri Mataji asked Sahaja Yogis to do. (However, unfortunately, now most SY's are

in their collective caves gazing at their navels/(chakras) and just can't get

over all their psychosomatic blocks.)

i also remember that Shri Mataji has stated that there are 'terrible' things

going on in this world to make 'one shudder'. She never talked about the

details, because that was not Her Role/Her Job. However, She did say that there

were plenty of others outside of the organization who were Her Children who were

also doing Her work and that there were also plenty of sources/people who would

expose this corruption too. It would come from many sources, She said.

Perhaps the Avian Forum and other forums are part and parcel of doing the job of

'exposing' what is not right in the world today. Perhaps, that is the only way

we can move forward into a Golden Age. Perhaps we need to talk and share and

understand and realize that each individual has the spiritual power, if they so

choose, to change the world for the better!

We can all use our God-given discretion and 'sift' what is truth and what is

'not-truth', however we just cannot close our eyes to happenings in the world

today, can we?

i know that Shri Mataji asked Sahaja Yogis to become politicians and change the

system from within. She said we should use our Powers of Enlightenment to change

the world. i know She did not mean it only as giving the Divine Message only.

She wanted us to be the literal 'salt of the earth' and bring Her Light and

Truth into every facet of human life, even the political world, the economic

world; everywhere and anywhere that our Spirit informs us. All we need to take

with us is the Absolute Truth, which will expose all lesser and relative

truths. What a Divine Task that is that Shri Mataji has given us! How many times

has She said that we are Her Warriors for the Truth; the Truth that will expose

all Untruth!

Here is a politician who is seemingly just doing that. i am not saying what he

says is 'right' or 'wrong' but if what he says IS RIGHT, this might just explain

why the 'regular news' just does not seem to have any substance anymore.

Dear All,

There are dramatic happenings around the globe today. It is a war between the

Forces of Light and the Forces of Darkness. The Forces of Light are guaranteed

to win, according to Shri Mataji, THIS TIME AROUND, however, we each need to put

our hand to what we can each do to change the world for the better.

i do not see taking away people's liberties as the way forward. We all need to

speak up and make our voices count where we can, each in his or her own sphere

of influence.

We need to be aware to what is really happening out there, and which is hidden

from us. Just like WCASY, there are many organizations that want to dominate

people. This cannot be the way forward if we are going to have a new Golden Age,

a Satya Yuga, which also means a New Age of Truth.

Dear All,

It might surprise readers, but Shri Mataji said those who are able, should run

as Independents and get into government, and change things. On the subject of

politics, i would like to draw attention to a book that Sir C.P. Srivastava

wrote about the political life of Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, who rose

to political eminence on the strength of moral principle. You see, as Sahaja

Yogis (born of the Spirit persons) we have the highest Light and Life to give to

others and can be the 'servants' of others, 'servants of the people' who help

the people. Lal Bahadur Shastri was a great example for us to

follow: -

" The life of Lal Bahadur Shastri (1904-66), India's second prime minister and

successor to Jawaharlal Nehru, is the absorbing saga of a little man who, while

suffering the rigours of poverty in early life, rose to political eminence on

the strength of moral principle. When Shastri died, he left no house, no land,

no money. But he did leave behind an example, which is morally inspiring. In an

age riddled with political corruption, his career of exemplary integrity

possesses a very special relevance for readers in contemporary India as well as

abroad.

Although Shastri's tenure as prime minister lasted only nineteen months, it was

a period of high excitement and drama. Under Shastri's leadership India

successfully fought a major war against Pakistan. This came as a tremendous

boost to India after the China debacle three years earlier. This Indo-Pak war

was followed by successful peace negotiations between the two countries at the

famous Tashkent Conference, where, with the ink scarcely dry after all the

momentous signatures, Shastri dramatically died of a heart attack.

Several social and political issues of national importance and international

interest emerged or found successful resolution during the time that Shastri

held political power in Nehru's cabinet, as well as when he took over the

premiership of India. There was the Kamaraj Plan; the question of Nehru's

successor; the English-Hindi national language controversy; the problems of food

scarcity and foodgrain imports; the Hazratbal episode of the stolen sacred relic

from the shrine in Kashmir; the complicated diplomatic negotiations over Kashmir

in the United Nations; the tangled web of tightrope relations with China, the

USA, and the USSR; the controversy and suspicion over the circumstances of

Shastri's sudden death; and finally the heroism and acclaim that came to

Shastri. All this is recounted with vivid detail in this book, which also

unearths and sets many facts right for the first time. This is the first and

only biography for the general reader to be based on detailed and impeccable

scholarship.

The author of this biography, C.P. Srivastava, was Shrastri's personal aide for

several years. He was with Shastri until the last day of his life, in Tashkent.

He collected a large number of original documents from the USA; he interviewed

bureaucrats, politicians and diplomats who were associated with Shastri's life

and career; he travelled in Shastri's footsteps within India and abroad; he

consulted medical experts to ascertain the truth about Shastri's death. In

consequence, he has written a biography which is unlikely to be superceded. "

C.P. Srivastava was an officer of the Indian Administrative Service. In 1964 Dr.

Srivastava joined Prime Minister Shastri's secretariat to work as his aide.

After Shastri's death, Srivastava was appointed as Chairman and Managing of the Shipping Corporation of India. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan

in 1972.

In 1974 he was elected Secretary-General of the U.N.'s International Maritime

Organization. He also conceived and built up the World Maritime University of

Malmo, Sweden, of which he became the Founding Chancellor. He has received

decorations from the kings of Sweden, Norway, and Spain, as well as a knighthood

(K.C.M.G.) from the queen of England.

(Btw, the book was printed by Oxford University Press, Delhi. Oxford and New

York are mentioned as well. It was published in 1995.)

.....................................................................

For myself personally, the greatest significance of Sir C.P. is that Shri Mataji

married him. Being married to the Incarnation of the Adi Shakti speaks volumes

to me. i remember Sir C.P. telling us how much he relied on Shri Mataji. He

claimed that his success in life really came from Her, the Power behind the

Throne! Many times did Sir C.P. claim how great a person his wife is, and how

kind to everyone She came in contact with.

It must also be remembered that Shri Mataji Herself not only preached and taught

spiritual liberation; She actually practiced what She preached 'to the nitty

gritty'.

As a young girl She was involved in the " Free India Movement " . She was at the

forefront of it too; i saw a photo of her in a rally as a young girl on

television; it was a documentary on India. She was never one to sit back and

comment only, but when She was in a position to do something, She did it!

So, let us " born of the Spirit persons " not think that there is no work to be

done. The spiritual liberation of all mankind is at stake. Shri Mataji has asked

us each to do our part. Some, She has said, should go into politics.

When we transform the Kali Yuga into the Satya Yuga, Truth will flourish on the

Earth. Sahaja Yogis (born of the Spirit persons) have the Absolute Truth within

themselves. This is the Truth of the Spirit. It is the Spirit of the Law, and

not the Letter of the Law that needs to be exercised. It is the Spirit of the

Law of God Almighty. It is His Reign on Earth that will bring forth all the

fruits of the New Golden Age, the Satya Yuga. We have all the Forces of Light

that are working with us.

Jai Shri Mataji!
