Guest guest
Dear All, Could somebody please clarify: Shri Mataji says meditate on me - What does she mean? That when i go into sahasrar i put attention on her...and i keep it on her through the meditation? She also says that you must practice 'ananya' bhakti, where there is not the other. In my understanding, this means that there is only 'her' and not even me. Is this correct? Am i supposed to be conscious of there being only her right through my mediation? In one speech she compared sahaja yoga to other yogas wherein the sadhak has to forget the image of his diety to proceed further. But she says that in sahaja yoga it is not so, because her picture is the picture of reality. In this context, in mediation, am i suppossed to direct my attention on her in mediation....by keeping her photograph as the object of meditation? to a point where only her image remains? Please do help me out here. Thanks and regards RN

Then this attention must turn into thoughtless awarness, Her formless consciousness i.e., no image or anything whatsoever - just consciousness. You and Her are One - realize Aham Brahmasi! > She also says that you must practice 'ananya' bhakti, where > there is not the other. You cannot achieve this until you turn your attention away from Her temporary physical incarnation on Earth and begin to identify with Her eternal Self within. This is the deepest meaning of Self-realization. You and Her are One - you must realize Aham Brahmasi to attain moksa! Also end all external rituals/treatments/projections of the mind. They severely hinder and handicap your identification and merging with Her. Seek Her guidance and protection from within at all times. Ravindran, you must realize this if you really want to progress. It is very important that you discard all external aids and crutches. > In one speech she compared sahaja yoga to other yogas wherein > the sadhak has to forget the image of his diety to proceed > further. They are never to be worshipped. There is not even a single sentence in all Hindu scriptures that condone this - NOT EVEN ONE! Shri Mataji is the incarnation of the Adi Shakti and that is why Her photos are pictures of reality ie., unlike idols they represent the Divine Person exactly. Moreover, we can feel vibrations flowing out of Her Photos. Having said that, it does not mean that Her photograph should the object of meditation to a point where only Her image remains. The Adi Shakti is eternally youthful and exits as Pure Conciousness, both within and without you. You can start meditation by putting your attention on Her Photo but as soon as you close you eyes try to merge into this Pure Consciousness. That is 'ananya' bhakti, where there is not the other. Any identification with a photo will never will retard progress. Be One with Sat-Chit-Anand. Be One with Shakti. Be Shakti. You, Ravindran, are the drop of the Ocean of Consciousness. The moment the drop contacts and merges with the eternal Ocean of Sat-Chit- Anand Ravindran ceases to exist. Jai Shri Mataji! jagbir
