Guest guest
Dear All, Here is a piece of spiritual advice which i think is worth taking note of:- " Ask of no man his opinion - it opens the door for the sinister forces. Keep your own counsel. Seek the Light and you shall find therein all which you have asked and that which you have sought. " It is my experience that the opinions of others will always vary according to that person's experience/s and therefore will never be quite the same as what i have experienced. Opinions are really what i would call a 'fixed state of mind'. Sometimes we accept opinions from family, friends, or society very gullibly, and accept them as our own. That is what is a life that is without contemplation and introspection. Contemplation and instrospection mean that we generally do not have 'fixed opinions'; but rather we gain wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, based on our conscious experience of 'being in the present'. Spiritual growth can only happen with contemplation and introspection in addition to all the other factors. Fixed opinions are a form of stagnancy. Spiritual growth is marked by the ability to be flexible and not fixed. i hope this helps. love and best wishes to all, violet
