Shri Mataji's Sacred Land of Canajoharie...

Dear All,

 

Here is a summary (with commentaries) of some happenings at the Occasion of the

Adi Shakti (Holy Spirit) Puja in Canajoharie in June of the year 1999. It is

based upon extracts from a yogi's description of what happened. Included, are

many interesting details that will give an insight into the interactions of Shri

Mataji (the Mother) with Her children (which is what She called us)... which

hopefully... will give those who were not there, some idea of the great

spiritual times that we had with " Our Mother " .

 

The interaction of Shri Mataji with Her children was always very beautiful and

compassionate, humourous and sometimes stern, " just " as your mother would be. It

always felt like She was one's " ultimate Mother of Mother's; that is the quality

we felt around Her.

 

She is also the Incarnation of the Holy Spirit on Earth, and with Her children,

She had a work to do " with us " and also " through us " . We had a job to perform

together, and She led us. We will never know all that was accomplished by Shri

Mataji Herself, and also through us, because we had to be Her Instruments.

 

It is so comprehensive, that we have to tell at least some parts of it, to

reveal the vast scope of Spiritual Work that the Christian Comforter has done.

It is beyond the scope of the Sahaja Yogis' minds to really comprehend all that

Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi has accomplished.

Summary of Account of Extracts re the Adi Shakti (Holy Spirit's) Puja -

Canajoharie, June 1999...

 

In the evening the children of Shri Mataji, the yogis... had a collective

meditation around the fire under the clear dark blue sky full of bright stars,

and the presence of Shri Mataji was felt very strongly. The Nature around seemed

most beautiful; a rich Temple created and decorated by the Goddess Herself so

that Her children could worship Her appropriately. The meditation was followed

by bhajans (songs) that went deep into the night, and hearts were overflowing

with joy.

 

Yogis got informed that Shri Mataji related that America became rich because of

the hosting of the Shri Krishna Puja in Cabella. Shri Krishna is known as

Kubera, the God of Wealth. She also stated that by hosting Shri Adi Shakti Puja

in Canajoharie, that the spirituality will be established in America.

 

I need to explain something here, to give readers some understanding re the

above: -

 

(The above reminds me of where in the Bible it tells that if there were so many

sincere God-followers, a place could be saved. I believe that this is the role

that Shri Mataji and Her Sahaja Yogis have played at a crucial time in world

history.

 

Shri Mataji had Her hand in every area of life, possible, and i believe that

there has been a turn in the tide of human affairs, because of the Spiritual

Work that Shri Mataji along with Her children have performed over the last

thirty years or so. We do not really know the extent of world change that we

have been part and parcel of, because we have been too close to it. Shri Mataji

has told us time and again, that it is by being Her Instruments (of the

Divine)... that this will result in world spiritual transformation.

 

For instance, if we now look beyond the external dire world events that are now

happening, we can see that people are awakening spiritually everywhere and in

every country too. It is a mass humanity awakening, that Shri Mataji talked

about. We just have to 'hang in there' and 'do our part' in the great spiritual

tasks given to us. If we keep shining our lights, before we know it, there will

be the most wonderful changes that we have never imagined. Shri Mataji has often

declared this. She says we don't know what Great Times are ahead!)

Shri Mataji also spent about 20 hours writing recipes for the food preparation

for the yogis for that weekend. She organized all the little details of the food

preparation. When asked why She wrote so many wonderful recipes, She said that

" Children are coming to Mother's House " ! (Above all, Shri Mataji has been a

Mother in so many ways, in every little way. People do not realize. She has been

just like a " real " mother; even more so, than our " birth " mothers, which is

quite incredible.)

 

Apparently according to Indian language, " Canajoharie " (the place where Shri

Mataji acquired this land), means " Shri Krishna, Master of Jewels " . Also, in the

Native American language " Canajoharie " apparently means " self-cleansing pot " .

Apparently, " Canajoharie " is a place of historical importance whereby once upon

a time six fighting tribes of Native Americans met together to make peace and to

grow together in Spirit. Also… apparently… the agreement that was reached

between them and written down… was later used by founders of the USA as a basis

for the creation of the American Constitution. (This just confirms, as I have

already mentioned that Shri Mataji has had Her Hand in everything, and even

Sahaja Yogis do not know the extend to which She has... " and is " ... working

things out, in conjunction with all of us. It leads to every avenue of life,

political, economic, social, religious, monetary, etc.)

 

The Puja Speech: -

 

Apparently it was quite profound. Yogis were thoughtlessly aware, just feeling

the Love of their Divine Mother. Shri Mataji said we should develop our

self-confidence and speak about Sahaja Yoga (meaning " Spontaneous Union with the

Divine), which is one's Second Birth of the Spirit in Christian terms. It is

also known as realizing who you are (self-realization) … that we are the Spirit.

Shri Mataji also stated that every SY should help people to attain their

self-realization, and suggested that each person help 1000 others to achieve

this.

 

(Perhaps, this is much more possible by Internet, because I remember Shri Mataji

saying that the main reason for worldwide communication through the worldwide

web, was so everyone, at this special time would come to know that this is the

Time of Spiritual Transformation. This is the " Last Judgment and Resurrection

Time " . Shri Mataji also said that She has Children outside of the organization

of Sahaja Yoga, who are also doing Her Work. It means we are not to be insular

in thinking that Her Work is restricted by organizational boundaries. We must be

" expanded " and " not insular " in our modus operandi. We are not to be nicely

settled in our collective caves... feeling we are the " spiritually saved " ones.

We are to look more and more outwardly to transform the world through the Gifts

of the Holy Spirit that She has given us.)

 

And in these words She says just that: -

 

" She said that the only reason why Sahaja Yogis were created and nourished and

taken care of by the Divine Power, is that they should be this " force " that will

transform the humanity... and so they should

spread the Message of Sahaja Yoga ( " Spontaneous Union with the

Divine " , which is about one's Second Birth of the Spirit). She also

said that She (the Holy Spirit) gave us all the powers and we just need to

spread Sahaja Yoga and it will work out and we will be guided by the Divine.

 

More information from Shri Mataji is that the land... the " Mother Earth " , the

pond... the mountains surrounding the land... and the natural mud in the pond...

was designed by Her (the Holy Spirit) to clear and nourish us. Shri Mataji said

that the natural mud in the pond was better than soap for the skin. She reminded

about the fact that people go to expensive resorts to get " mud treatments " , but

that here at Canajoharie, there is so much of it in that pond.

 

Apparently the weather got really warm and yogis went to swim in the pond,

discovering its unique clearing and cleansing powers. Some, however, were not

that brave, and only soaked their feet in that pond. Then it is believed that by

" Divine Play " , the camp completely ran out of water as many yogis were taking

showers, so Shri Mataji asked all yogis to swim in the pond before the puja.

(There was always humour and fun somewhere around all of Shri Mataji's doings.

One thing…. " it was never dull " .

Some Extracts From Yogis Descriptions of Adi Shakti Puja –

Canajoharie…

 

When I think about what took place on Friday, the last day of construction, I am

reminded of a book I read about the life of Muhammed the Prophet where during

the battles with the enemy, a soldier in Muhammed's army would swing his sword

and ten of the enemy would fall, as if by invisible hands. There just had to be

" invisible hands " doing the work this day.

In the evening we had collective meditation around the fire under the clear blue

Nature around seemed the most beautiful and rich Temple created and decorated by

the Goddess Herself so that Her children could worship Her appropriately. And

verily can a man create anything like that from a stone and glass? The

meditation was followed by bhajans that went deep into night and our hearts were

overflowing with joy the whole time.

 

That weekend we got the message from the yogis that spoke with Shri Mataji that

America became rich because of hosting Shri Krishna Puja in Cabella (who is

Kubera, God of Wealth), and now by hosting Shri Adi Shakti Puja in Canajoharie

the Spirituality will be established in America.

 

Also we heard that Shri Mataji spent about 20 hours writing Herself the recipes

for food preparation for yogis for Puja weekend at Canajoharie and organizing

all the little details of food preparation. When asked by leader of America

(name withheld) why She wrote so many of wonderful recipes with much variety,

She replied: " Children are coming to Mother's House! " On Monday it felt like at

Canajoharie, of " Children coming to Mother's house " that everyone present was

completely in Her attention caressed in the Ocean of Her Love.

 

Canajoharie name means in Indian language " Shri Krishna, master of jewels " and

in Native American language it means " self-cleansing pot " . Canajoharie place

also has historical importance as there once upon the time 6 fighting tribes of

Native Americans met together to make peace and to grow together in spirit. The

The Puja weekend is difficult to describe in words as most of the time we were

all just thoughtless there just feeling Love or Our Divine Mother and Pure Joy

of our Spirit dissolved in the Ocean of Collective Being of Sahaja Yoga.

 

On Friday night and Saturday night musical programs Her Holiness Adi Shakti Shri

Mataji granted us with Her Presence and She also selected Herself all the

performances for the programs out of the long list of yogis and collectives who

wished to perform. Not only did She picked up the performances, but also She

choose the order in which they were supposed to perform, and that created truly

unforgettable evenings. On Friday night we enjoyed the sitar performance of the

world renown artist, Nishant Khan, who specially came from India for this

occasion, this Divine music took us into state of deep meditation and for

several hours as he played we were taken by Shri Adi Shakti deeper and deeper in

this state.

 

Saturday night evening was opened with the prayer to Shri Mataji to forgive

American people for the wrong they've done to Native Americans who were very

close to receive their self-realization at the time when " white " people arrived

to American and destroyed them and their culture, and a prayer to grant all the

Native Americans now a possibility to be born as Sahaja Yogis. That evening

there were several plays by collectives of Americas topic of which was the

history of America with its bad and good sides. Also a documentary done by NY

yogis was shown about present of Native Americans: their spiritual celebration

was recorded with colorful traditional dresses, traditional music, and dances of

worshipping of the Nature and of the Great Spirit. Later when we asked yogis who

were sitting close to Shri Mataji how She liked the it, they said: " Shri Mataji

commented that this documentary took Her into different state "

 

On Sunday June 20 afternoon we had a unique opportunity to worship Shri Mataji

as Shri Adi Shakti together as international collective of Sahaja Yogis on the

Holy Land of Canajoharie. Shri Mataji started Her talk with a story how She

found the land. She says She took a newspaper and felt very strong cool breeze

coming out of small ad for selling Canajoharie land, that is how She discovered

it. Then the rest of the talk was devoted to Her very important message that we

all have to go all out to spread Sahaja Yoga now as the time has come.

 

She said American Sahaja Yogis have a very great responsibility before God and

we have to set aside now all our personal things and we just need to spread

Sahaja Yoga. She said that we should develop self-confidence and speak about

Sahaja Yoga, every Sahaja Yogi should try to give self-realization to 1000

people. Then She said that the only reason why Sahaja Yogis are created and

nourished and taken care of by the Divine Power is that they should be this

force that will transform the humanity, and so they should spread Sahaja Yoga.

She said that She gave us all the powers and we just need to start spreading SY

and it all will work out and we will be guided by the Divine.

 

After the Puja was ended Shri Mataji gave presents personally to everyone from

hosting countries which was absolutely great grace of Hers, as She gave

attention to everyone as each yogi and Yogini one by one came to the stage to

receive the gift from Her.

 

Everything on the land was designed by Her (the Holy Spirit) to clear and

nourish us, the Mother Earth, the pond, the mountains surrounding the land. The

pond had natural mud in it about which Shri Mataji said that it is better than

the soap for the skin. She said people go to expensive resorts to get treatment

with that mud, but here we have so much of it in this pond! The weather got

really warm on Saturday and many yogis went to swim in the pond discovering its

unique clearing power. But some still did not feel brave enough to swim in the

pond and were sitting around for footsoak only. By Divine play the camp

completely run out of water on Saturday night as many yogis were taking shower,

so Shri Mataji requested then all yogis to take a swim in the pond on Sunday

morning before the Puja!
