Dear All,

These Words of Shri Mataji talk about " expanding ourselves " and not only living

for ourselves. It seems clear that if we expand ourselves and help ourselves and

others to grow spiritually, then our " guru principle " will also develop and

grow. This " guru principle " comes through working it out in our lives. It also

involves becoming our own guru. When we make mistakes, we can learn from these

mistakes and do better next time. Experience, sincerity and follow-through will

glean us much wisdom. When we 'do so'... we will find that all our limitations

will keep expanding like a horizon. As we do the spiritual work that Shri Mataji

has asked us to do, we will find that if and when we come up against any

limitations or barriers that this active " guru principle " will work it out. So,

it is a case of doing the best with what we have, and shining our " light " to

enlighten the paths of others, too. As we do this, our horizons of spiritual

work open up for us. It just takes one step at a time. It is a day-to-day walk

with the Divine... hand in hand.

Words of Shri Mataji Nirmala

Guru Puja, Lago de Bries - 1989

" If you live only for yourself, then you have not expanded at all, you have not

done your duty to the Guru. If you develop the Guru Tattwa (the Guru principle)

then the quality of wisdom is born. Wisdom is when you realise your mistakes and

rectify them. Then the balance comes. In the beginning the Guru principle is

limited, then as you create more Sahaja Yogis ( " born of the Spirit persons " )...

it goes on increasing its limitations like a horizon. "
