Dear All,

i hope you are enjoying the Aquarian Gospel chapters, and i hope it helps to

familiarize with the Scriptures which are important for " born of the Spirit "

persons to know.

Here then is the story of the birth of Shri Jesus... the child of promise that

was born in the last Age to bring peace on Earth and good will to men. When

Divine Incarnations are born... it seems that messengers usually accompany them.

i hope you enjoy this beautiful narrative of the birth of Shri Jesus.

Aquarian Gospel

Section II

Chapter 3

Birth of Jesus. Masters honour the child. The shepherds rejoice. Zacharias and

Elizabeth visit Mary. Jesus is circumcised.

" The time was nearly due for Jesus to be born, and Mary longed to see Elizabeth,

and she and Joseph turned their faces toward the Judean hills. And when upon

their way they came to Bethlehem the day was done, and they must tarry for the

night. But Bethlehem was thronged with people going to Jerusalem; the inns and

homes were filled with guests, and Joseph and his wife could find no place to

rest but in a cave where animals were kept; and there they slept.

At midnight came a cry, A child is born in yonder cave among the beasts. And lo,

the promised son of man was born. And strangers took the little one and wrapped

him in the dainty robes that Mary had prepared and laid him in a trough from

which the beasts of burden fed. Three persons clad in snow-white robes came in

and stood before the child and said, All strength, all wisdom and all love be

yours, Immanuel.

Now, on the hills of Bethlehem were many flocks of sheep with shepherds guarding

them. The shepherds were devout... were men of prayer, and they were waiting for

a strong deliverer to come.

And when the child of promise came a man in snow-white robe appeared to them,

and they fell back in fear. The man stood forth and said, Fear not! Behold I

bring you joyful news. At midnight in a cave in Bethlehem was born the prophet

and the king that you have long been waiting for. And then the shepherds all

were glad; they felt that all the hills were filled with messengers of light,

who said, All glory be to God on high; peace, peace on earth, good will to men.

And then the shepherds came with haste to Bethlehem and to the cave, that they

might see and honour him whom men had called Immanuel.

Now, when the morning came, a shepherdess whose home was near, prepared a room

for Mary, Joseph and the child; and here they tarried many days. And Joseph sent

a messenger in haste to Zacharias and Elizabeth to say, The child is born in

Bethlehem.

And Zacharias and Elizabeth took John and came to Bethlehem with words of cheer.

And Mary and Elizabeth recounted all the wondrous things that had transpired.

The people joined with them in praising God. According to the custom of the

Jews, the child was circumcised; and when they asked, What will you call the

child? The mother said, His name is Jesus, as the man of God declared.)

Mary and telling them that John and Jesus were to be born. John... it

is said... was called John from the beginning of the Age and his name

means the " the mercy of the Lord " . John is also filled with the Holy

Spirit (Holy Breath) from birth. In Sahaj terminology he was " born-

realised " :

>

> " From the beginning of the Age your son has borne the name of John,

the mercy of the Lord; his name is John. He will be honoured in the

sight of God, and he will drink no wine, and from his birth he will

be filled with Holy Breath. "

>

> It is interesting that a person who is " filled with Holy Breath "

will " drink no wine " . This is something that Sahaja Yogis ( " born of

the Spirit) persons have found out too. Once the kundalini energy is

awakened in them and flowing through their bodies, two things

generally happen which are:

>

> 1. They generally lose their desire for alcohol (and other

substances)... and i seem to recall that Shri Mataji taught that

connecton to the Divine brought the seratonin levels flowing in the

brain which could account for this on the body-mind level, because it

seemed that a lot of persons were able to quit these substances quite

quickly and with considerable ease... practically overnight! This is

because the awakened kundalini energy just changes everything

completely in the whole body.

>

> 2. After self-realisation, people generally find that they have a

heightened sensitivity to for example, alcohol. Even a few sips can

bring a reaction in the body very quickly because the kundalini

energy after all... is the clearing energy... and it works straight

away to start clearing the poison of the alcohol. So... " kundalini

awakened " people generally feel that it goes against their system and

thus avoid it. It just makes sense. One cannot seem to stay in the

" collectively conscious " state if the other is there.

>

> So... Shri Mataji has taught that it is good to avoid it. i know

that there was one individual who told Shri Mataji that he really

felt desire to drink. She told that if he really desired it, then he

must have the drink... otherwise he would only be torturing himself

with that. That surprised Sahaja Yogis because Shri Mataji really

advised us strongly against alcohol... for our wellbeing.

>

> Shri Mataji taught that a lot of people in today's society drink

alcohol to dull their thoughts... to dull their brain, so that they

can relax. She also taught that people in today's societies

unfortunately get so caught up in thinking too much and find that

their thoughts go 'round and 'round and drive them crazy because they

find they can't stop their thoughts. That is why the alcohol helps

them... to stop this vicious circle!

>

> The thing is... having one's self-realisation and meditating gives

the lasting inner joy that alcohol does not. It stops the thoughts,

too. The pleasure i get from being 'drunk with the Holy

Spirit' (meaning the high spiritual feeling i get from connection

with the Divine Within)... is much greater than any feeling i ever

got from drinking wine. There is just no artificial substance that

can simulate the joy of the Spirit, which " is the real thing! " The

spiritual connection gives the real thing, which is an inner love,

joy and peace within.

>

> In relation to such things, we must always be loving, understanding

and non-judgmental. Realised person will realise what they must do.

We cannot tell others how to lead their lives. The Spirit within will

reveal what is right to them... and so will their body too...:)When a

person is born again, all the energy centres (chakras) are awakened

and they will soon let you know if you have ingested anything that

goes against their energy flow.

>

> Shri Mataji... who advised us not to drink alcohol... once confided

to us that at this particular function which She attended with Her

husband (and She attended many of these functions)... people were

pressing the social drink on to Her. She refused and refused but one

day She accepted a drink... just to please them for once. She told us

this. Again... we were surprised since She was so much against us

drinking alcohol. i guess it shows a kind of... that whatever it

is... we cannot be fanatical. We are not Puritans... we cannot be

completely rigid in every situation... is i think what She conveyed

(well to me... anyway!)

>

> Shri Jesus and Shri Mataji save people from their sins... from

their karmas. " Sins " means " karmas " . You might ask: What is sin? Sin

is anything that separates us from the Divine... from God Almighty.

'That is what is sin'. Through Shri Mataji's Pure Knowledge of the

Spirit and the Awakening of the Holy Spirit within us, She has helped

us overcome our separation from God... from the Divine. We are again

connected to the Kingdom of God within ourselves.

>

> " Immanuel " which means " God With Us " ... is Jesus's name. He gave

people who would listen... the knowledge to obtain their salvation...

their moksha. He told that we have to " go within " to the " temple

within " . He was the Day Star from on high who visited mankind in the

Last Age and he was the Great Light that shone in the spiritual

darkness in the Last Age of Pisces... showing the ways of peace. He

said that:

>

> " These things I have spoken to you, while abiding with you. But the

Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, S/He

will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I

said to you. " (John 14:25-26)

>

> Shri Mataji is the Avatar for this Age, which is the Age of the

Outpouring of the Holy Spirit (the Age of Aquarius). It is fitting

that at this Age of the Outpouring of the Spirit of God that the

Avatar or Incarnation of the Holy Spirit has come. The two are

actually very connected. Jesus, the Christ told that the Comforter

would come, and She has come. It is the Incarnation of the Holy

Spirit/Comforter that has opened up the Kingdom of God within human

beings (in their Sahasrara) and this is the same Kingdom of God

Within that Jesus, the Christ prophesied about... that was to come on

Earth.

Prophets and the Psalms which told of one to come, strong to redeem;

service in Jerusalem. It came to pass as Zacharias stood before the

Lord and burned the incense in the Holy Place, that Gabriel came and

stood before his face. And Zacharias was afraid; he thought that some

great evil was about to come upon the Jews.

>

> But Gabriel said, O man of God, fear not; I bring to you, and all

the world, a message of good will, and peace on Earth. Behold the

Prince of Peace, the king you seek, will quickly come. Your wife will

bear to you a son, a holy son, of whom the prophet wrote, Behold, I

send Elijah unto you again before the coming of the Lord; and he will

level down the hills and fill the valleys up and pave the way for him

who shall redeem. From the beginning of the Age your son has borne

the name of John… the mercy of the Lord; his name is John. He will be

went with haste to tell Elizabeth about the promises of Gabriel;

together they rejoiced. And in the home of Zacharias and Elizabeth

did Mary tarry ninety days; then she returned to Nazareth.

you will give a knowledge of salvation unto Israel; and you will

preach the gospel of repentance and the blotting out of sins.

Aquarian Gospel – Chapter 4...

(Consecration of Jesus. Mary offers sacrifices. Simeon and Anna prophesy. Anna

is rebuked for worshipping the child. The family returns to Bethlehem.)

Now, Mary took her son, when he was forty days of age, up to the temple in

Jerusalem, and he was consecrated by the priest. And then she offered purifying

sacrifices for herself, according to the custom of the Jews; a lamb and two

young turtle doves.

A pious Jew named Simeon was in the temple serving God. From early youth he had

been looking for Immanuel to come, and he had prayed to God that he might not

depart until his eyes had seen Messiah in the flesh. And when he saw the infant

Jesus he rejoiced and said, I now am ready to depart in peace, for I have seen

the king. And then he took the infant in his arms and said, Behold, this child

will bring a sword upon my people, Israel, and all the world; but he will break

the sword and then the nations will learn war no more. The master's cross I see

upon the forehead of this child, and he will conquer by this sign.

And in the temple was a widow, four and eighty years of age, and she departed

not, but night and day she worshipped God. And when she saw the infant Jesus she

exclaimed, Behold Immanuel! Behold the signet cross of the Messiah on his brow!

And then the woman knelt to worship him, as God with us, Immanuel; but one, a

master, clothed in white, appeared and said, Good woman, stay; take heed what

you do; you may not worship man; this is idolatry. This child is man, the son of

man, and worthy of all praise. You shall adore and worship God; him only shall

you serve. The woman rose and bowed her head in thankfulness and worshipped God.

And Mary took the infant Jesus and returned to Bethlehem.
