Guest guest
(Email sent by a yogi outlining efforts and response to being honest and upfront about Shri Mataji and Her message to humanity) date: Jan 24, 2007 9:44 PM subject: I guess its not gonna change So that was that. Xxxxx wrote back and we agree on many things. Other yogis though, who are great people and whom are really close to me and whom i care for very much are of that same stance that its a tough call to make with new comers as to who to be upfront with and who not to be upfront with. I'll cite a response from a yogini who is a great friend of mine to my response to Xxxxx : " In terms of how we can bring more people and get SY to grow, I'm not sure where I stand. Sometimes people are not ready to hear certain things---like who Shri Mataji really is---until they've been meditating for a bit. Other people are just amazing in that they see the photo for the first time and know instantly who She is! So...it's a tough call. Above all, I think that for newcomers, the most important thing is to get them to FEEL something. This way, they can't dispute it with mental arguments. They feel vibrations for themselves, and this is how it's verifiable. This is also how it is differentiated from the 1001 other yogas, etc. out there, you know? They need to discover for themselves how SY is unique, and sometimes just telling a person isn't the best way. Why should they take our word for it, right? Let them feel it for themselves. Also, only so much of this is up to us, the rest is up to God. Our main job, I think, is just to give realization---after that their Kundalini will work to its own little time table. It's just been my experience that some yogis, (God bless them, they're only excited about everything), come on a little too strong and even 'scare' new people away. It's best for us just to act as instruments for vibrations, to show people by example (our behaviour, our actions, our sweetness), how SY can change someone for the better. So I think the main thing is to encourage them and help them to feel their own vibrations and to feel the state of meditation. And we can pray about this, pray that we figure out the best ways to bring people. " (end) So i guess my question and my feelings of " i'm just going to give up trying to talk to yogis about this upfrontness " . Why are people so opposed to being so upfront and will yogis en mass ever start doing what they are asked to do? I feel like i've made these arguments within my own collective so much and nobody really cares or agrees with me at all, rather just says its best to give realization and let God do the rest or basically anything but be upfront 100 percent regardless of peoples reactions. Sure people will ask many questions that may not make for a smooth flowing meditation class, but that's the point. Its just frustrating when i see the futility in how things are done, yet people who can do something about it class wise and on a larger scale are not stepping up to the plate to do just that. I honestly have come to the point where i'm just going to give up on talking to yogis and yoginis about it and just lead by example when it comes to giving others realization in my own encounters. It seems no one wants to listen to things that it is the best course of action. Why is that? I don't understand it. Same goes for your website jagbir. I want people to be aware of the things i have had the blessings to be aware of because of your website, and yogis/yogini's just don't care or want to even go to it, whether they have ever heard of you or not. Its so frustrating when you want to share but no one wants to take what your offering. Anyways, when will it change man? Thanks for listening Xxxxxxx Ccccc
