Is the media truthful these days?

Dear All,

 

Is the media truthful these days? Are we lulled to sleep by a media that

'manages' what is to be accepted as truth by the sleeping rank and file? Having

been born of descendents who fled from the Ukraine due to the communistic

takeovers, i have never been totally unaware of the power of the media to

'manage truth'. Truth is actually very simple, when you know it. It is able to

be confirmed. However, truth in the media, is most unlikely to be confirmable

these days. Just think of 9-11 and you will know that too.

 

That is why i also like to read from the so-called 'alternative media' because

although i use my discretionary powers when reading or listening to either media

(regular and/or alternative) i can't help but find the alternative media

increasingly logical, informative, relevant and interesting, whereas i am

finding the regular media to be losing on all those counts, in comparison. The

regular media seem to concentrate on repeated sensationalism over certain news

stories, whereas the alternative media seem to be concentrating on much more

factual information.

 

In the regular media in Australia, we even have a skit at the end of the 'Real

News' where they 'spoof off' our politicians, and their inability to tell the

truth, or to hide the truth. If it wasn't so 'true to life' it would be funnier.

As it is, such skits at the end of real News Programs, seem to imply that it is

OK and the norm, that politicians and leaders whom we have elected to be good

managers of our country, can keep the truth from us.

 

As such is the situation now; that is why i do not regard 'alternative media

people' to be 'conspiracy theorists'. Taking it on the personal level, why

should i call someone else a 'conspiracy theorist' if they are telling the

truth, according to what they know, just like i am telling the truth, according

to what i know?! What would that say of me, if i have to call someone else a

'conspiracy theorist'? i think it means, that i do not like what that person

writes. In the end, whether it is regular or alternative media, each must be

read or listened to, with spiritual discrimination, as to where the truth really

lies (maybe somewhere in between?)

 

It would be much better, if the people in the media, became more simple and just

told the truth, 'plain and simple' as Christ Jesus and Shri Mataji told the

truth. That is the place we all have to get back to, in our society. We, the

people can expect it. Unfortunately, the combination of money, power, and media

can rarely afford to tell the truth 'as it is', without having to colour it for

advantage of those who have the power, media and money. (We know that through

experiences of the influence of power, media and perhaps money too, in the

organisation of Sahaja Yoga.}

 

So, here is a little tidbit, that shows just how different the stories that the

regular media and the alternative media can tell. You just have to use your own

discretion, and ascertain, who is really telling the truth.
