Dear All,

i would like to explore with the readers of this forum, some of the very

interesting things Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi has told, regarding the whole

subject of the Sahasrara. It will be nice to collectively learn, what we may not

have realised previously, about this subject. It will be in 2 to 3 [and more]

installments to make for less lengthy reading in each post.

regards to all,

Things we may not have realised regarding the Sahasrara - Part 5

So far, we have learned through a study of the teachings of Shri Mataji Nirmala

Devi, that Sahasrara is our awareness, which has to grow... that the more

sensitive the sahasrara is, the more it has the capacity to receive the

spiritual qualities of the spirit... and that merely by opening the sahasrara,

the work is not yet done. Here is how Shri Mataji put it:

" So merely by opening [the] sahasrara, the work is not done. We have to have

more and more channels, who will act as the nadis with their different powers,

and who can work it out in a proper systematic manner. " (Shri Mataji Nirmala

Devi - Sahasrara Day Puja Address - Le Raincy, France - 5 May 1982)

[in Part 5, we will have a look at what Shri Mataji says still requires doing,

for Sahaja Yogis who want to grow on the Sahasrara. As Shri Mataji said]:

" It is only the sahasrara which has to grow, not the spirit. " (Shri Mataji

Nirmala Devi - Sahasrara Day Puja Address - Le Raincy, France - 5 May 1982)

[Firstly, Shri Mataji explains that once we have our sahasrara open, that we

will be able to see how important it is to keep the nadis (NERVES), centres and

deities intact and integrated]:

" After the sahasrara [opening], when you are above the sahasrara, you can see

that it is very important that all these nadis must be kept together, and all

the centres and all the deities must be kept intact and integrated. " (Shri

Mataji Nirmala Devi - Sahasrara Day Puja Address - Le Raincy, France - 5 May

1982)

[shri Mataji says that this can even be done with conscious effort!]:

" This can even be done with conscious effort. " (Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi -

Sahasrara Day Puja Address - Le Raincy, France - 5 May 1982)

[she explains how this can be done, with conscious effort]:

" This can even be done with conscious effort, by watching yourself, your

thoughts. You start seeing your ego and your superego and will be able to see

how you cheat yourself, are dishonest with yourself, are convincing yourself

that you are very good, and are enjoying an ego trip! " (Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi

- Sahasrara Day Puja Address - Le Raincy, France - 5 May 1982)

[At this point, we will see the " real " connection between " collectivity " and

" Sahaja Yoga. " We are not talking about a physical collectivity, nor a physical

and external organisation here, but we are talking about an inner collectivity

of spirits, where there is not " the other " ( " ananya " ) in the Union with the

Divine Within, on the Sahasrara!!! Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi explains about this

" ananya " ]:

" I think people don’t even understand the meaning of collectivity, 'where

there's not the other', ananya (Sanskrit –> no other), " where there’s not the

other. " There’s no other personality! These personalities are separated from

you, because of left and right or could be both. But you are yourself fully

[intact and integrated] when you're absolutely detached, and your kundalini is

dancing. [Then] you are alone and never alone!!! " (Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi -

Shri Adi Kundalini Puja - Germany, 11 August 1991)

Note: [intact and integrated] comes from what Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi has

already said here:

" After the sahasrara [opening] when you are above the sahasrara, you can see

that it is very important that all these nadis must be kept together, and all

the centres and all the deities must be kept intact and integrated. " (Shri

Mataji Nirmala Devi - Sahasrara Day Puja Address - Le Raincy, France - 5 May

1982)

[shri Mataji Nirmala Devi then says that Sahaja Yoga is for people, who are

spirits!]:

" Sahaja Yoga is for people who are spirits. " (Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi -

Sahasrara Day Puja Address - Le Raincy, France - 5 May 1982)

[she explains that for people who are spirits, all misidentifications must drop

out]:

" Sahaja Yoga is for people who are spirits, so all other things must drop out.

All misidentifications must be dropped out. " (Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi -

Sahasrara Day Puja Address - Le Raincy, France - 5 May 1982)

[shri Mataji explains that this can be consciously done]:

" One can do it through the conscious mind. As I said, one should really CORRECT

oneself " (Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi - Sahasrara Day Puja Address - Le Raincy,

France - 5 May 1982)

[shri Mataji explains why it is so important to drop all misidentifications]:

" Because after realization, whatever you desire, becomes part of the divine

desire [and] whatever you do, becomes part of the divine action! " (Shri Mataji

Nirmala Devi - Sahasrara Day Puja Address - Le Raincy, France - 5 May 1982)

[seekers of the truth have a deep desire to " find themselves " and often

experiment in many ways, to achieve this deep desire. Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi

says that this deep desire can be achieved with conscious effort, if we are

honest with ourselves!]:

" So one has to remember that with conscious effort [and] if we are really honest

about it, we can really find ourselves!!! " (Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi - Sahasrara

Day Puja Address - Le Raincy, France - 5 May 1982)

[The last part, Part 6 will further explore what Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi taught

about collectivity being the way to expand the Sahasrara. This is the

'collectivity of spirits' that She is talking about, whereby there is " no other "

[ " ananya " ] but where each spirit is part and parcel of the other spirit, in one

spiritual body, though there may be many members. To conclude, here are some

Scriptures that describe such spiritual collectivity]:

" Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? " (1 Corinthians 6:15a)

" And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is

honored, all the members rejoice with it. " {1 Corinthians 12:26)

" For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as

Christ also does the church. " (Ephesians 5:29)

" Every man among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think,

but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure

of faith. For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do

not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and

individually members of one another. And since we have gifts that differ

according to the grace given to us, let each exercise them accordingly; if

prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith; if service, in his serving;

or he who teaches, in his teaching; or he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he

who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy,

with cheerfulness. Let LOVE be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to

what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to

one another in honor; not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit,

serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to

prayer [a.k.a. " meditation " ]. " (Romans 12:3b-12)

[This has been written in the English way, with the meaning of what Shri Mataji

Nirmala Devi gave, being retained].

who stand against such a great work of the Divine. " (Shri Mataji

> [What Shri Mataji said in 1982 about 'those who indulge into

wasteful habits after realisation, obstructing the flow of the nadis,

and really being very harmful for the Virata'... ties in very well,

with Her recent Message through 'brother tiger', where She said that]:

>

> " Do not let My work to be destroyed by evil. I know you do right

things. But the days of big tests will come. You must overcome it

being together with each other, only together. Listening each other

through heart and love. " (The Mother - 2007) {/

Messages, stresses Shri Mataji's Message that]:

> " Do not embarrass hearts of innocent souls looking for the Mother

sincerely. Do not waste your words and time on others, there is

little time left for you... Once again i leave you having joy of the

Mother in your hearts and HER presence in youselves to reach

ETERNAL!!! " (/

message/7902)

>

> [shri Mataji tells us, that those who want to develop on the

Sahasrara, which is to develop awareness, will want to develop as one

collective being, more so, than as an individual being, as such. This

kind of collectivity, is one where it does not matter in which part

of the world a person physically lives in, but they are " in

connection " through the development on Sahasrara of " ananya " , which

means " where there is no other " ! Shri Mataji gives specific advice

here, for those who want to develop on the Sahasrara]:

>

> " The one who wants to develop on Sahasrara should know, he should

not develop with bad company, but always have the company of other

sahaja yogis. He should not have his own holidays, or own time, but

most of the time he should spend in the company of other sahaja

yogis. " (Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi - Sahasrara Day Puja Address - Le

Raincy, France - 5 May 1982)

>

> [The advice above is especially for those who want to develop on

the Sahasrara. Otherwise, how can a person be " in connection " most of

the time? If we remember Shri Mataji's description of " collectivity " ,

She says we can be " in connection " with each other, through the

" connecting line of love, and not of hatred " , even though the one

person may be in America, and the other in India! She cannot be

talking of a mere physical connection of people then, can She?!]

>

> [We also read above, that Shri Mataji's advice of " bad company "

even includes those who have had their self-realisation, but waste

it]:

>

> " But those people who indulge into wasteful habits after

realization, obstruct the flow of the nadis, and are really very

harmful for the Virata. Such people should really leave Sahaja Yoga

and spare [the others] or [else] such people should be asked to leave

and we should sever all relations with such people, who stand against

such a great work of the Divine. " (Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi -

Sahasrara Day Puja Address - Le Raincy, France - 5 May 1982)

>

> [This only confirms what the Mother also tells through brother

tiger]:

>

> " Do not let My work to be destroyed by evil. I know you do right

things. But the days of big tests will come. You must overcome it

being together with each other, only together. Listening each other

through heart and love. " (The Mother - 2007) {/

group//message/7961)

Mataji Nirmala Devi, on developing on the Sahasrara. However, until

then, it will be fruitful, if we contemplate on the meaning of what

Shri Mataji gave here]:
