Guest guest
Dear All, At a Medical Conference in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1995, Shri Mataji was asked what one's attitude should be, if one's members of the family are not Sahaja Yogis. Shri Mataji said that her family members were not Sahaja Yogis, to begin with, but that they believe in Sahaja Yoga now. However, She said they were not great Sahaja Yogis like the Russians, but they will be. But She says it is better to keep them out of Sahaja Yoga [the organisation] because people will make too much fuss of them, and therefore spoil their chances of what Sahaja Yoga is about, which is to become the Spirit, and have one's spiritual liberation. She says that they should come to Sahaja Yoga like ordinary people. If they don't come to Sahaja Yoga like ordinary people, Shri Mataji said: " Otherwise it will be like....; I don't want that. " So now that some of Shri Mataji's family have come to the organisation of Sahaja Yoga, and are being so much fussed over, are Sahaja Yogis " spoiling their chances " , like Shri Mataji said would happen. Will practically deifying them, actually spoil their chances for spiritual liberation. Sahaja Yogis have to become aware of what Shri Mataji has said on this subject, and stop deifying people, who should, according to Shri Mataji Herself, come to Sahaja Yoga, for their own good, as " ordinary people " that are not extra-specially " fussed over " than any other Sahaja Yogis are. regards to all, violet Question: " What is to be attitude to the members of the family who are not Sahaja Yogis? Shri Mataji: " My family members were not Sahaja Yogis to begin with. My husband used to say, " I know that you are a Saint, but you can not transform others. You are moral, but you can't make others moral. " Now he's changed. He said, " I've seen all this happening, you've made them into angels. I have to be honest that you have done the job. " Even now my daughters, my grandchildren, everyone in my family, husband's family, my mother's family, they believe in Sahaja Yoga. But I would say that I showed all compassion, love and patience. But I would say they are great Sahaja Yogis like Russians, but they will be. Also it's better to keep them out because Sahaja Yogis make such a fuss out of them which will spoil their chances. They should come to Sahaja Yoga like ordinary people. Otherwise it will be like.... I don't want that.
