Guest guest
Dear All, Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi says: " Meditation is very important for all of you so that you develop your Sahasrara. " (Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi - Sahasrara Day Puja - Cabella, Italy - 10 May 1998) Appended is the rest of what Shri Mataji said regarding that. Please enjoy! violet People think that meditation is a kind of ritual or style of Sahaja Yoga. No! Meditation is for you to go deeper within yourself, to achieve all that your Sahasrara wants to give you! That height of detachment, of understanding, can only be achieved through meditation! So what happens in meditation, is that your awareness crosses over Agnya, goes above, and is now stationed in the Sahasrara in thoughtless awareness. Then the beauty of Sahasrara starts pouring into your character, into your temperament! Unless and until you [genuinely] meditate, and not just to get well or because you feel you have to, your Sahasrara will close down! Meditation is very important for all of you, so that you develop your Sahasrara. If you don't use your Sahasrara in such a manner, that you imbibe the beauty of the Sahasrara, after some time you'll find that the Sahasrara will close down. Then you'll have no vibrations, and no understanding of yourself [either]. So it's very, very important to meditate! Meditation is the only way you can enrich yourself with the beauty of Reality. There's no other way! I cannot find any other way but through meditation, whereby you can rise into the realm of Divinity! To get to the inner side of yourself, the subtler side of your being, you must allow the Kundalini to go through the Agnya! To cross the Agnya is a very important thing in modern times, and for that you have to meditate. If you meditate with complete faith in yourself, this Agnya can be opened up, by surrendering to the Divine. You have to surrender yourself to the Divine, and when this Agnya opens, you'll be amazed that your Sahasrara is just waiting to transfer all the help that you need, through the All-Pervading Power! Once your connection of Sahasrara, is established with the All Pervading Power, you'll be amazed how all these seven chakras work for you, how they help you, how they try to give you the Real knowledge about everything! This Real knowledge that you get is very Joy-giving! You can see this Real knowledge in everything; in every situation, every person, every flower. In every natural happening you can clearly see the hand of the Divine! Therefore you don't have to start reading any book about it! The greatest thing that happens to you is that you become a global personality. You start seeing the problem of every country or nation, that is, where they are having problems. But you don't see them for the purpose of media [advantage] or something, as other people may do. What you want to see, is that these problems are solved! So your Sahasrara is extremely important! You must meditate to enrich your Sahasrara; to cure it; to make it completely nourished by the Kundalini! There's no need to do many rituals [except] for meditation and also a bit of the 'taking of the bandhan' [protecting oneself]. Even now, today, I think it is necessary when you go out, because the Kali Yuga is still working out its own pangs, and the Satya Yuga is trying to come on. We are the ones who are going to support and look after the Satya Yuga, and that's why the Sahasrara opening is very, very important! It's very important and those who want to grow should meditate every day! Whatever time you may come home, be it in the morning, evening [or] any time, you will know you are meditating when you get into thought-less awareness. You will know [so because] your re-action will be zero! [if] you look at some thing, you'll just look at it [but] you won't react because you are thought-less. You won't react! When that reaction is not there, you'll be surprised that everything is Divine, because the reaction is your Agnya's problem! Once you are 'absolutely thoughtlessly aware', you're so much 'ONE' with the Divine, that the Divine takes over every activity in every moment of your life, looks after it and you feel completely secured, 'One with the Divine', and enjoying the blessings of the Divine! May God bless you!
