Hi Jagbir,

I understand that we have to meditate by " Being silent on the self " .

Nevertheless, it is said that to be silent on the self, we have to

go within. How do we go within? I go within by becoming thoughtless,

and try to maintain that state of thoughtlessness throughout my

meditation. Did I not do it correctly? Because I have been

meditating for quite some time but I feel that I have not yet attain

the thoughtless awareness state permanently. And I am aware that I

did not merge with the Shakti within too. I know patience and time

are needed but I have been patiently meditating for 2 years more and

yet I feel that things remained the same. There is not much progress.

Please advice.

Regards,

Don

Hi Don,

2 years is way too little. i doubt you learnt much by Grade Two.

By 'going within' means you do not relate to any external stimuli

while meditating. You must seek/merge/understand/confirm of a Higher

Power/Shakti/Holy Spirit within you. The ONLY way is through Silence

and humility, a complete obliteration of your own ego. It is this

Silence that will teach and guide you to become your own master.

But a permanent thoughtless state is next to impossible. So take it

easy, smell the roses, enjoy the sunset ..... and drink a cafe latte

while watching a movie. You must enjoy your spiritual evolution, and

not be agitated by endless catches and spend a lifetime footsoaking

or shoebeating or whatever like the majority of SYs. Let the Higher

Power within, instead of external rituals with chillies and lemons,

take care of your problems. i am again advising you not to be sucked

in by the SYSSR (Sahaja Yoga Subtle System Religion) because you

will still be languishing in Grade Two years from today, maybe Grade

Three. The SYSSR is a false religion invented by WCASY/SY management

to replace Her Divine Message of the Last Judgment and Resurrection.

Hi Jagbir,

I agree with you. But when should we stop doing all these and start

to meditate and let our kundalini cleanse us?. I also feel that

there has to come a time when all rituals like footsoaking, candle

treatments, shoebeating and etc should stop. Nevertheless, in SY

classes, all they would ever teach is the Subtle System and the

ritualistic treatments. It takes 3 months for the classes to finish.

And after that, the Sahaja Yogis are on their own. Next, they would

start new classes with new comers. I do not know how do other Sahaja

Yoga Centers run their classes on other parts of the world but I am

curious to know if they are the same like what I had been through. I

felt that Sahaja Yogis would actually learnt more from reading the

articles at the websites because there are still a lot of things to

learn and achieve.

HOW DO I GO WITHIN?

1. Introspection and a deep desire to find the absolute truth are needed:

" Only thing is that you have to introspect and go within and deep down, and find

out what is the absolute truth! (Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi - Shri Buddha Puja

Synopsis - Shuddy Camps, England - 31 May, 1992)

2. It cannot be found outside one's being:

" Within us lies the peace, the beauty, the glory of our being. There's an ocean

of all that. We cannot seek it outside. We have to go within what they call 'the

meditative state'. You seek it and you enjoy it. " (Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi -

V.5.28.Jul 82. p39)

3. One needs to deny things that go against its movement:

" So to approach it you have to go within yourself, by denying things which are

against it, against your movement. " (Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi - v. 5.28.Jul 82.

p39)

4. One needs to meditate more to reach their inner being:

" Try to meditate. Meditate more so that you reach that inner being. "

(Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi - V.5.28.Jul 82. p39)

5. " Every moment remember, that your movement has to be inward. When you move

inward, you forget the ideas of your outer glories. " (Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi -

v. 5.28.Jul 82. p39)

HOW DO I KNOW IF I AM DOING IT CORRECTLY?

When you discover that:

" Within us lies the peace, the beauty, the glory of our being. " (Shri Mataji

Nirmala Devi - V.5.28.Jul 82. p39)

The only way to do it correctly is to:

" Meditate more so that you reach that inner being. And this inner being is the

vast ocean of bliss that exists in every one of us. "

(Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi - V.5.28.Jul 82. p39)

CLEANSING, THROUGH INTROSPECTION

" Cleansing is very important through introspection. But doesn't mean thinking,

never means thinking, but introspection means meditation and that you all should

meditate. (Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi - Adi Shakti Puja - Cabella, Italy - 25 May,

1997)
