Please consider the following facts:

Civilization in retreat?Dear FriendsIt is time that we Hindus realise that we are now a " Civilization in Retreat " (I am tempted to call it as 'acivilization on the run' ). Most of us, typical arm-chair

philosophers, keep on sermonising sitting here in New Delhi, Mumbai,Kolkata, Pune or Chennai,etc. , without bothering to assess andevaluate the grim ground reality. Please consider the following facts:

1. Some 1000 years ago we were ruling and thriving there inAfghanistan

and beyond, in and around Peshawar (i.e. Purushpur), andin entire Pakistan and what is now Bangladesh. We have been destroyed,decimated and ethnically cleansed from all those lands.2. Barely 60 years ago Hindus formed nearly 25% of Pakistan's

population, 30% of the population of Bangladesh from whic 2 Islamiccountries we have been systematically ethnically cleansed within ashort span of 60 years. Now in Pakistan Hindus are only 1%, while inBangladesh we are nearabout 8%. In the process more than 2 million

Hindus are believed to be missing while approximately another 5 /6millions converted to Islam.3. In post iondependence years we Hindus were there in Kashmir Valleybarely 16 years ago. But due to systematic ethnic cleansing our people

have said good bye to Kashmir and 3/4 lakh Kashmiris are living asrefugees in our own country. In Doda district of Jammu Hindupopulation was 60% according to Census 1991, while

Census 2001 showedthat the percentage of Hindus have fallen by 20% to a mere 40% now -thanks to incessant killings abd ethnic cleansing. There is noinstance of any other so-called " great " people being pushed around and

driven to the margin by becoming refugees in their own country,anywhere in the world.4. Hindus today are a demographically challenged community /civilisation. Acccording to Census 2001 on average every Muslim woman

is giving birth to at least 1 child more than her Hindu counterpart.Even Sachar Committee (a document full of lies) has admitted, thoughunwittingly that by 2101 the population of Muslims will grow toanything between 32 to 34 crores. While discussing the fear of Hindus

being outnumbered in India it also asks on page 45 that " how does itmatter which group is the largest " ? Perhaps Shri Shanti Swarup mightlike to ponder over this counter question by Justice Sachar and

members of his team.

Surely Justice Sachar could not be ignorant ofthe fact that the terrorism in J & K is directly related to thereligious composition of population.5. In Assam as many as 7 districts have already become Muslim majority

areas, in W. Bengal 3 or 4, in Bihar 3 and in U.P. too the Muslim shave grown from 10% in 1951 to nearly 18-20 percent now.6. A bogus argument is advanced that Muslims are growing fasterbecause Muslims are poorer (again a total falsehood). In any case, in

Kerala, where the literacy level of Muslims and Hindus is equal, thegrowth rate of Muslims is 50% higher than Hindus / Christians.Archbishop Varkey of Syro Malabar Church had warned in August 2006that in another 2/3 decades Kerala will become a Muslim dominated

Islamic State. The duratiion 2/3 decades may be an exaggeration, butanyone who reads about Kerala knows that it will surely happen anytimebetween 2050 and 2061!7. The regular

attacks on Hindu temples (2 were on Sri Ram temple atAyodhya) and unarmed yatris are part of the larger plan to over-runand destroy Hindu civilization. These attacks are in accordance withQuranic percepts of first destroying the faith and religious moorings

of the " Kaffirs " , then terrorising them by disorienting them throughfear psychosis and finally to convert or ethnically cleanse thekaffirs. Anyone wanting to understand the diabolical dimensions of the

problem must read Paki Brigadier S.K. Malik's book " The QuranicConcept of War " (Foreword by Gen Zia, a former fundamentalist dictatorof Pakistan) where Brig Malik has quoted from chapter and verse of

Quran how a jihad has to be waged against kaffirs (read Hindus).8. Today governance has totally collapsed in Assam (except a fewcities) and large parts of Northeast. I know it through friends therebecause I have served in northeast. There are more than 40

militantoutfits operating there, each one trying to protect to its own turf /people. At the time of outbreak of civil war in Lebanon in early 1970s(after Muslim population outnumbered the Christians) there were as

many as 53 militias / militant outfits fighting amongst themselves aswell as the incompetent State. My assessment is that northeast isheading for a Lebanon like situation anytime during the next 2 decades-before it breaks away from India.

I can cite many other facts and figures, but the constraint of spacedoes not allow me to do that. Mere spiritual commitment will not andcannot ensure survival of Hindus.Pl. remember even Maharishi Vishwamitra had to go to Raja Dashrath to

seek the protection of his 2 warrior sons, Sri Ram and Lakshman, forcarrying on with his spiritual pursuits, i.e., " Yagna, Upasana, andTapasaya. In this wicked world, no spiritualism can survive theJihadi onslaught without

protection of arms. Throughout history theworld has given its glitering prizes to those who stout hearts andsharp swords.Our own Shastras proclaim loudly : " Veer Bhogye Vasundhara " . .We were

on top till we worshipped arms (Shastra Pujan was an integral part ofHindu ethos, despite our commitment to peace). After Muslim rulers andBritishers disarmed us, the Hindus, we fell on evil days. Just look at

Sikhs. How they turned the tables on marauding Mughals after GuruGobind Singh gave them a call to take up arms - after creatingKhalsa in 1699 - to protect 'Dharma and Desh'.Regards
