Guest guest
Dear All, What is written in the Hebrew as " Yahweh " is in the Bible written as " the LORD " (all upper case). When it does not mean " Yahweh " from the Hebrew derivation, it is written in the Bible as " Lord " (in lower case), to differentiate. But why didn't the Bible scholars and translators just use the Jewish term of " Yahweh " ? It would have prevented a lot of spiritual misunderstanding and resulting confusion! Or was it that the 'powers that be' just wanted their own separate religion? It seems so. But in the separation a lot of the spiritual distinctions of God were lost, and everything is now 'God' to Christians, who have lost the distinctions of " LORD " and " Lord " , etc. Even though i studied at a Christian Bible College, i never learned this distinction there. But the truth is all one folks! And we are working on gathering all the information around, to show that. love to all, violet EXODUS 3:15 (From the Hebrew) " And said also the Mighty Ones to Moses, 'say to the children of Israel, Yahweh, Mighty One of your fathers, Mighty One of Abraham, Mighty One of Isaac, and Mighty One of Jacob has sent me to you; this is my name FOREVER, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation. " http://www.users.qwest.net/~zadok1/exodus3.htm EXODUS 3:15 (From the New American Standard Bible - (NASB)) " And God , furthermore, said to Moses, " Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. " This is My name forever, and this is My memorial-name to all generations. " " The name of our heavenly father was confirmed to Moses in Exodus 3:15. Moses recorded it in Hebrew and it has been kept for centuries by the scribes in the numerous scrolls that they made. Most English Bibles have replaced that name with " the LORD " (all upper case), which is not a name, but a title. This results in the true name being removed from the scriptures in almost 7000 places.
