Guest guest
Dear All, We concluded Part 6 with the following: " We should not become one of the spectators and think how lucky we are to see an inauspicious thing. How you react to things, depends on your attention. Of course, if it is something divine, then you have a rapt attention. But if it is something stupid, you can see the essence of it in the light of reality - [that] it is stupid! But if you are a Sahaja Yogi, you should be able to see that point and enjoy [it]! An enlightened attention reacts in a very different manner from a 'stupid attention', or a 'confused attention', or an attention full of negativity " Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi Shri Buddha Puja Synopsis Shudy Camps, England 31 May, 1992 Here is Part 7. Enjoy, violet What Shri Mataji said about Buddha - Part 8 There are four things which Buddha has very nicely said, which all of you should say every morning: 1./ Firstly, He said: " Buddham sharanam gacchami " . (I surrender myself to Buddha). I surrender myself to Buddha, means [that] I surrender myself to my awakened attention, to my awakened consciousness. 2./ Then, He said: " Dhammam sharanam gacchami " . (I surrender myself to dharma) Dharma is innate religion, righteousness, the real things within us, which give us the value system; [it's] not 'outside' religion. 3./ Then the third thing He has said: " Sangham sharanam gacchami " . (I surrender myself to collective) You have to meet.... Collectivity is very important, because then you know that you are part and parcel of the whole.... That is how things work out very fast, that is how we help each other, that is how we discover a person who is negative, or egotistical, or who are not Sahaja Yogis at all - but claim themselves to be Sahaja Yogis, and we just give them up. [break Quote] [Folks, Point 3, can put us in a 'conundrum' if we truly believe that collectivity is only to be found at the 'local' collective level. How can one stay in a 'local' collective, when one is 'jeopardised' just for telling the truth? Of course, Shri Mataji did not use the word 'local' when She said that it is good to say: " I surrender myself to collective " . Shri Mataji has also said that being collective means where there is not 'the Other' ( " Ananya " ) - but where we are connected by a connecting line of love, though we may be oceans apart. That's us, folks! Of course, if we kindred spirits could be 'locally collective', we would, right?! Maybe, one day there will be enough of us 'truth-tellers' who will also be able to be 'locally' together, in spirit and in truth. But until that time, we have to be happy with the situation we find ourselves in. Maybe, we have to realize that " everything works together for good to them that love God " . Shri Mataji said at Sydney Airport in the mid-1990's, that She had those who would give Her Message from outside the organisation of Sahaja Yoga, if it were not given from inside the organisation of Sahaja Yoga. That's us, also! And we should be very happy about that! That is why we are also 'outside' a 'local' collective, but we are not 'outside' collective consciousness, itself. That's the difference.] [Resume Quote]: Collectivity gives so many powers, so much satisfaction and joy. While coming to the collective, we should not criticize or find faults with others, but you introspect yourself, and know 'Why is everybody enjoying themselves [and] why am I the one sitting down and trying to find faults? [There] must be something wrong with me.' If you can just pay attention to yourself, as far as the defects are concerned, then I am sure you will become much more 'collective', than when you started seeing the defects in other people. Sahaja Yoga is very practical, because it is absolute reality. So, with these powers and understandings, with all this compassionate love, you have to be sure about your Self and know that you are all the time protected, guided, looked after, nourished, and helped to grow by this Divine power which is all-pervading. May God bless you all. Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi Shri Buddha Puja Synopsis Shudy Camps, England 31 May, 1992
