You may be in jeopardy with Sahaja Yoga

" You are the only people who have achieved something and then at this juncture,

you should behave in a manner that behooves a big saint or a realised soul. But

sometimes you find them behaving in such a manner, it's shocking sometimes. They

have no respect for themselves or for others and their whole attitude is very

funny. Some of them are money-oriented, some of them are power-oriented. And

those who are power-oriented are more dangerous I think than the money-oriented.

Because those who are power-oriented try to bring such a bad name to Sahaja

Yoga. They are very insulting, dominating and horrible people. Their whole

attitude is to achieve power in Sahaja Yoga and they try all the tricks to

achieve that power. But, for some time they look alright. After some time,

you'll find they'll all disappear from the field of Sahaja Yoga. It's a very big

cleansing process going on. You must understand that you have come in the field

of very high consciousness where you are in contact with the Divine. "

Dear All,

i recall the day a SY leader gave me a message on behalf of the 'power-oriented'

Sahaja Yogis in Sahaja Yoga. The message was not about Sahaja Yoga itself - but

about their 'power-orientation'. The message, including its meaning, was that:

" Jagbir is not a Sahaja Yogi, and if you continue to support Jagbir - you may be

in jeopardy with Sahaja Yoga. "

At the Adi Shakti Puja in Cabella in 1998, Shri Mataji warned us about such

'power-oriented' Sahaja Yogis!:

" And those who are power-oriented are more dangerous, I think, than the

money-oriented. " (Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi - Adi Shakti Puja - Cabella, Italy -

21 June, 1998)

She stated that these power-oriented yogis behaved in a shocking manner, had no

respect for themselves or others, and had a completely funny attitude regarding

Sahaja Yoga!:

" But sometimes you find them behaving in such a manner, it's shocking sometimes.

They have no respect for themselves or for others and their whole attitude is

i remember the shock of being approached on behalf of these power-oriented

Sahaja Yogis, who threatened me with the message/meaning that if i continued to

support Jagbir, i would be in jeopardy with Sahaja Yoga. It was also shocking to

see how they put 'false fear' into the hearts of other Sahaja Yogis. A few days

before i received that horrible message/meaning, i had enjoyed a most wonderful

puja and sweet communal fellowship with other Sahaja Yogis at Hiawatha. But

after being told i might be in jeopardy with Sahaja Yoga, for supporting Jagbir,

it spoiled things for me---- like one of my Sahaja Yogini friends begging me to

check myself to see if i was now 'possessed', even though i was exactly the same

as i had always been, and nothing about me had changed.

People who came before Shri Mataji, would sometimes shake physically, if there

was some form of 'possession' in them. A 'possession' is something that is not

supposed to be 'within' a person. Sahaja Yogis had become quite fanatical about

clearing and cleansing practices, and the 'possession' test was part of that

accoutrement. All this had become of primary focal interest in the lives of

Sahaja Yogis, even though Shri Mataji pleaded with Sahaja Yogis to have more

confidence and faith in themselves, which meant that we should have confidence

in our Spirit, in our Union with the Divine! The 'possession' test involves

sitting in front of Shri Mataji's photo, which is like sitting in front of Her.

The slightest shake or tremor, indicating some form of 'possession', can be

detected by placing a sheet of paper over one's extended hands. The important

point to be aware of in this whole scenario, is that if you have confidence in

your Spirit, if you have confidence in your Union with the Divine " within " - you

are not even going to want to do such a test! It is not as if Shri Mataji

demanded any such thing! Sahaja Yogis just wanted all kinds of test, to

determine 'this' or 'that' about their chakras, instead of going to the Source

Itself that is within them, which takes care of all the chakra problems, if you

surrender to that Source!

We met in a coffee shop, where my Sahaja Yogini friend repeatedly pleaded with

me to take the 'possession' test. Although we parted with a hug and expressions

of Sahaj Love, and agreed to disagree - it was not until we went through the

awful scenario, of this SY friend getting so angry with my refusal to take the

'possession' test - that both of her hands literally shook with anger, though i

think that she may not have noticed that fact. Under the circumstances, and in

order to allay her real 'false fears' for me, i felt i had no choice but to

'agree' to take the test - even though i had no intention of doing so myself, as

it was an insult to my Spirit, and to my intelligence also! " Complete confidence

in your Spirit " means that you don't doubt your Spirit, even if others may doubt

you. When you are in that kind of a relationship with the 'Divine within', you

don't take a 'possession' test because it is an insult to the Holy Spirit

within! It is an insult to your " Self " ! In hindsight, i have to see the 'funny'

side to it - which is that while my friend wanted to know if my hands would

shake with 'possession' in front of Shri Mataji's photo - it was her own hands

that were literally shaking in front of me, in her sheer frustration and anger

with me!

i found it really shocking though, to see how affected she had become by the

'false opinions' of the 'power-oriented' Sahaja Yogis. In ignorance, she had

developed a 'false fear' for my soul, based on what they had told her! i believe

that the crux of the responsibility of such a terrible effect on Sahaja Yogis,

lies with the power-oriented Sahaja Yogis in Sahaja Yoga - not that they're

going to change anything! A Sahaja Yogi is someone who uses their power to

enable and enhance people's connection with the Divine. A 'power-oriented'

Sahaja Yogi is someone who uses their power to threaten to sever that connection

with the Divine, if one doesn't obey them. They have no respect for the field of

Sahaja Yoga in their own souls, or in the souls of others. Shri Mataji said that

these 'power-oriented' men in Sahaja Yoga bring a bad name to Sahaja Yoga, are

insulting, dominating, horrible, and use all the tricks to achieve power in

Sahaja Yoga. After my experience, i couldn't agree more!:

When the SY leader gave me that message on behalf of the power-oriented Sahaja

Yogis in Sahaja Yoga - i am sure he didn't realise that he had fallen for one of

their 'tricks'! Shri Mataji warned that:

disappear from the field of Sahaja Yoga. It's a very big cleansing process going

on. You must understand that you have come in the field of very high

consciousness, where you are in contact with the Divine. " (Shri Mataji Nirmala

All i can say to them is:

" Be careful! You may be in jeopardy with Sahaja Yoga! "

" Field of SY " doesn't equate to " Organisation of SY "

Dear All,

i feel that Shri Mataji's use of the phrase " the field of Sahaja Yoga " instead

of saying " the organisation of Sahaja Yoga " in the following passage - is very

significant. It indicates to me that though a power-oriented person may have

entrenched themselves in the " organisation " of Sahaja Yoga they are not

necessarily in the " field " of Sahaja Yoga. Shri Mataji says that the

power-oriented and money-oriented will " all disappear from the field of Sahaja

Yoga " . Shri Mataji describes the " field " of Sahaja Yoga as a " field of very high

consciousness where we are in contact with the Divine " .
