Dear All,

We concluded Part 1 with:

" The modus operandi is to know how this Divine power is to be used, how it is to

be manifested and how it is to be respected. The leader should not stoop down to

get after or hit upon any one person of the group's members, because your weapon

is the light of the Spirit which is the ocean of forgiveness. The leader must

step back in silence and be gracious. Your silence will definitely calm down the

fighting spirit of any group member. So the leader must know and master the

skill of silence, which makes the Divine power take over. "

'The Leader in Sahaja Yoga'

Most recently, at this 2008 Guru Puja, Shri Mataji wants all of those who can,

to become leaders and Gurus. True leadership is not to say: " I am the leader " .

True leadership is to be that. There is a big difference in saying it - and

being it. Leadership and Guruship grow from within and are not a certificate

applied from without. Like i have been saying, " What a true Sahaja Yogi leader

is really like " - really applies to all Sahaja Yogis who are going to be leaders

of Shri Mataji's continued Message of Christ's Last Judgment and

Resurrection/Self-Realisation Message. It doesn't apply to an elect elite few

who fancy themselves as such - who perhaps even fancy themselves as 'Gurus over

the Gurus'! Now, Shri Mataji never mentioned anything about any 'Gurus over the

Gurus'! Once you are a Guru, that's it. You just do your job, humbly, even if it

sometimes means it is like being a Night Soil Carrier in the Kingdom of God, as

Jagbir sometimes describes his job.

Here now, is Part 2.

Enjoy!

regards to all,

What a true Sahaja Yogi leader is really like - Part 2

Sahaja Yoga is to be mentally understood and it is to be practised by the heart.

For some people, it is the other way around. There should be no hypocrisy about

the knowledge. If someone in the group, experiences anything subtle, it should

be listened to - and very much appreciated by the leader and the group.

The leader should know " Self " and not indulge in sycophancy at any cost: he

should not have any favorites. The leader should have his absolute values and

Divine experiences intact, never projecting them or giving them his own colours.

He should not try to outshine the teachings of Sahaja Yoga and never entangle

Sahaja Yoga in the network of words that is 'Shabda Jalam' [Web of Words]. The

leader should not try to be spectacular or a show-off, but should be innately

humble. If he seeks that, he will be carried away from reality and the great

task of the emancipation of human beings.

The leader should nourish his or her group and make all efforts to make every

individual grow and also the collective grow in Divinity. The leader, when not

able to handle someone, should inform the world leader. Without the permission

of the world leader, he cannot ask anyone to leave, or to take anyone back, into

the group. [break Quote]:

[Folks, i am not sure how the above paragraph works out now that Shri Mataji has

given Her Puja 2008 directives. i do feel that if someone is a Guru, a leader,

that they will know how to handle someone. In our case, being outside the

organisation of SY itself, we are not in the quandary of having to prop up or

protect an organisation as such, for the sake of an organisation only. Because

for us, it is a living organism that we are connected with and we are only

interested in the simple truth of Sahaja Yoga and getting out Her Divine Message

from outside of the organisation which is our job. So we really are in a perhaps

unique and enviable position in that regard, i.e., we do not have any

'organisational baggage' attached. Like Shri Mataji recently said, when She

associated Herself with all the criticism directed towards the organisation:

" Now I don't think any newspaper will criticize you. They have something for Me,

but not for you. All of you promise me that you will try to become gurus. I did

not take any money from you, nothing from you. I just want that you should

spread Sahaja Yoga. "

Guru Puja Talk 2008

To me, from what i have gleaned from Shri Mataji's 2008 Guru Talk, each Sahaja

Yogi must try and be a leader/Guru and start their spiritual work out in the

big, wide, world. No longer are Sahaja Yogis to remain unto themselves - but the

real work now begins, setting out into new territory, perhaps never explored

before. But i have seen it that way forever, really. It is what we are doing

already, i believe. And the Holy Spirit Within, the Divine Mother will continue

to lead us from within. She is, after all, our Spiritual Guide.]

[Resume Quote]:

The leader in silence, can feel the content and the concern of the group, like

the seasons of the year. Sahaja Yoga is a living process, so it is to be worked

out like an expert gardener. If anyone, like a flower is drooping, find out the

root cause and help the individual. Sometimes, the whole garden could be under

attack, so find out the real problem and try to solve it through Sahaja Yoga

methods.

The efforts of a leader should be to create an honest, open, group. His job is

to facilitate and illuminate what is happening - and have very few rules and

taboos. Too many rules reduces freedom and responsibility. Moreover, enforcement

reduces spontaneity. Remember that all of the group of persons are yogis. They

are enlightened people. Manipulation will breed evasion. Every law creates an

outlaw. In the light of the awareness of the leader, the group will grow as an

honest, open, loving group, acting in a wholesome manner. Their behaviour

towards each other, towards the leader and towards others in the society, will

be very peaceful and gracious.

The leader should be softly-spoken but strong, like water which can cut rocks

but cannot itself be cut. The leader should know that we are all part and parcel

of one unity, one divinity. Any harm anywhere in the body hurts the whole, so he

has to be very careful not to take sides or hurt anyone who is a Yogi. All

things which are against the whole, create bad vibrations and negative forces

build up - and sometime, they might explode and be a very big force against

Sahaja Yoga.
