Gospel of Mary - definition of the sin of the world

Dear Jagbir, Violet and all,

 

After the reading of the " Gospel of Judas " , I've read the Gospel of

Mary which has been found also in Nag-Hammadi, Egypt and is dated

approx. 150 AD.

 

I would like to share with you this sentence, that i quote directly

from french into english :

 

On page 7 of the papyrus (pages 1 to 6 are missing)

 

Line 13 to 19 :

 

What is the Sin of the world ?

The Teacher (Jesus) said :

" There is no sin.

It is you who make the sin to exist

When you act according to the habits

Of your ADULTEROUS nature

There is the sin. "

 

 

Wikipedia, free encyclopedy :

 

- Adulterous comes from the latin verb : adulterare

 

AD = towards + ALTER = other + ARE =infinitive form of the verb

 

Literraly = " to make other "

 

This " adulterous nature " can be related to the creation by Saklas and

the others of beings according to their own image.

 

The apostles have been created not by God, but by another, an

adulterous nature.
