Warm hello to everyone in this forum //_^

I'm rather new to Sahaja Yoga, and pretty much yogic spirituality in

general. I came across Sahaja Yoga when I was looking for meditation.

I read about it, and although I had my reservations at first, I

eventally went through with the preliminary meditation, and it worked

very successfully! I've not long had the experience, but I

immediately felt the affects of it! As you may tell, it was a mind-

blowing experience for me :]

Anyway, I have some questions about Sahaja Yoga and what Shri Mataji

has to say on different situations.

*1. How does Sahaja Yoga generally view gay and lesbian people?

I've read some very negative things on this subject, but none of such

has come from a viable source (e.g. an actual practitioner, an

official website, or a viable quote from Shri Mataji herself). I am

guessing this is a personal thing, albeit, because of the idea that

one becomes one's own Guru. However, I'd like to be sure.

*2. Is going to a meditation centre a necessity for Sahaja Yoga?

I myself performed the meditation over the internet, and although I

have a centre near me, it's very out the way for me. I think

ultimately the best option for me would be to have a stable

meditation regime and inform people of Sahaja Yoga. Agani, I'd like

to know the Sahaja Yoga viewpoint of this. This also ties in with the

idea that anyone can access the meditation via the internet, and not

be near a centre at all.

Many thanks for whatever guidance you can offer me on these subjects!

:]

Dear Sam,

Welcome to the forum. i am glad that you have had good results. Sahaja

Yoga is one's Union with the Divine, which happens when one's Spirit in the

heart, unites with the All-Pervading Spirit, that is God, or the Divine. This

process can be affected, depending upon if we lead a moral life, or not.

Regarding the moral life, each person is their own judge. So, welcome to the

forum!

regards,
