The majority of the people want a democracy, not a demon-ocracy

Dear All,

 

i think that we the people, are waking up on many levels, not only

spiritually but also realising that, for example, why have corporations been

given rights as if they are people? We must all know by now that corporations

have been given rights, as if they are a person, like you or i. This sets an

unbalanced see-saw, an unbalanced swing. It means that a corporation, pretending

to be a person just like you or i, can come into our community from outside, and

have the 'say' or 'sway' in what happens in our community, even if the majority

of the members in the community consider what the corporations want, to be

against the best interests of the community. In short, giving the corporations

the same rights as living, breathing, human beings cannot be a 'democracy', but

it has to be a 'demon-ocracy' just like Shri Mataji has described it:

 

" It was the great advent of Abraham Lincoln which brought the uniquely true idea

of democracy into reality in America. He specifically said that the government

should be " of the people " , yet today we find that most countries who call

themselves democracies have been " demon-ocracies " . They are ruled by people who

are either money-oriented or power-oriented. Concern for the benevolence of the

people, which should be the main aim of a democracy, has become completely lost

in modern times. It is simply no longer a matter of concern for those people who

are said to be at the helm of affairs. Many people have claimed, and perhaps

they are not entirely wrong, that America is nowadays no longer ruled by the

people, but by the rich only, by big businesses, or by cinema actors and

actresses. The rest of the developed countries nowadays, are also ruled by the

banks, the entrepreneurs, the media and the underworld. "

Having corporations pretend they have the same rights as an individual, is part

of the process in which, what was supposed to be a democracy at America's

founding, has been turned into a demon-ocracy. Jeff Milchen explains how this

demon-ocracy works, and how its precedents can be overturned:

 

" Through wildly creative interpretation of the Constitution, our courts have

repeatedly subordinated the rights of citizens by elevating corporations to

entities with political rights. Almost every national representative of the

dominant political parties accepts this perversion of our Constitution (few have

even considered the issue), so building a grassroots Democracy Movement is

essential to overturn those precedents. "

 

Considering that a grassroots Democracy Movement is essential to overturning the

precedents of the current Demon-ocracy, it is encouraging that the citizens of

Humboldt have taken the first step and provided one concrete model to help

advance this movement, from a Demon-ocracy to a true Democracy-- " of the people " :

 

" Citizens of Humboldt County have provided one concrete model to help advance

this Movement. Let's ensure their pro-democracy ordinance is joined by dozens

more by the time judges decide whether to advance corporate rule further or help

restore the long-unrealized ideal of rule by the people. "

My prayer is that we the people wake up, to our spiritual liberties and the

freedom of the people to have a democracy, and not the current demon-ocracy that

has made itself the 'rule of law', wherein there is not the love and care for

people, but the love and care for corporations and their greed for even more

power, and more money! But, we the people have got to desire that firstly.

Nothing comes, without the desire for change, and that goes for spiritual

change, as well. The two go hand-in-hand.
