Guest guest
Dear Jagbir, Violet, pure.faith108 and All, Some proposed questions/suggestions/reasons for edit/additions to 1)Religions chart and 2)Identity/Resurrection Pamphlet follow with invitation to forum members' comments. The response to pure.faith108's question is also addressed. Concerning QuESTIONS and CHANGES: 1)Removal of Native American column is fine with both Violet and myself as per: [Yes, you probably have read the post where i explain why i agree to the removal. It is good that it is an open process for everyone to see, how it is developing, so if there are any questions as to why this or that religion were not included, the forum members will know why, and we won't have to go through it later.(message 10706)] 2)Location: last Title/Category at top right-hand of chart a)Eschatological Evidence* *Eschatological Evidence of Second Birth/Resurrection/Qiyamah/Self- Realization/Kundalini Awakening/Opening of Dsam Dwar/Opening of Sahasrara Chakra G.Would you consider the above complete for a " panoramic view of the Blossom Time " or should one add 'Redemption/ Moksha/Enlightenment/Nirvana/Mukti /Last Judgment/Blossom Time? [i think it would be good to also add: 'Redemption/ Moksha/Enlightenment/Nirvana/Mukti /Last Judgment/Blossom Time' Violet] 3)G. Would it also be advisable to delete Taoism and Confucianism for this chart? I recall the emphatic comments made by a young Chinese student that 'Confucianism' is NOT a religion. Will Jainism and Zoroastrianism have a slot in the religions chart? Or should we simply stop at Sikhism for now? [it may be easier to stick to the Main religions (of eschatology) for now, that Shri Mataji also mainly concentrated on. It makes sense to me, as the majority follow the Main religions. A pamphlet with the other non-eschatological/non-main religions (as we describe them) could also be produced, or something along that line. (i think you have already started some of that information, but maybe it is not so essential for the thrust of the Blossom Time message, but more for general information. Violet] G. I recall the emphatic comments made by a young Chinese student that 'Confucianism' is NOT a religion. [That means others could also argue with us about 'the same', which is another good reason to stick to the Main (Eschatological) Religions for now...] 4a)The end column of Christianity should have the extra " wind " deleted. [Yes] b)'Hinduism' Category (Box 1) Kali Yuga/Satya Yuga(Box 5) [Yes] c)'Buddhism' Category (Box 1) LEAVE BLANK (Box 6)--no info at present d)'Tree of Asvattah in Bhagavad Gita - Verse 15:1. 5)G. In the last box of the chart are there any more names for: Cool Breeze/ Ruh/Winds of Qiyamah/Ruach/ Wind, Breath/ Chi/Ki/ Spiritus(?) The current phrase in box 7 - " that of being born of the Spirit in Last Judgment " - is now redundant and should be deleted. [i like both suggestions. 'Spiritus' could be added and 'that of being born of the Spirit in the Last Judgment could be deleted.] 6) Should this chart have a title? Suggestions? Dear PURE.FAITH108 From some of your recent contributions to this forum you have, fortunately for us, amply and beautifully demonstrated your technical expertise and shared some wonderful images with us on the adishakti.org site. Thank you. I'm definitely an absolute neophyte in this area with next to no technical knowledge, so, with this thought in mind, I will try to respond to your request as best as I can, (with Violet's input also). With regards to the above changes/additions to the Religions Chart, some possible alterations in the religions chart itself would, I assume, be required. Please feel free to format the Religions chart in an A4 design that can be easily accessed and reproduced. It's come to my attention that in the case of whether to use pdf or jpg,it appears that sometimes people have difficulty opening a pdf. So, if a jpg happens to be better, perhaps you could use the jpg. However, if it is better to do whatever you need to do in pdf, please just use pdf. Violet has just recently got pdf accessibility, it seems with some considerable effort on her part, which included having to pay for it with her credit card. Do you think this pdf format would be more difficult for others to access? Perhaps you could share what are the advantages/disadvantages between using jpg or pdf? My computer paper size is 8 1/2x 11 - I'm asuming this is what's meant by the term A4? Pure.faith 108, I've found that the print in the Identity/Resurrection pamphlet (and possibly in the Religions chart) with Shri Mataji's photo is fairly small for some people, if 4 pamphlets to a page are used. However, if only 2 copies to a page are printed, this challenge is solved. Another possibility to be able to increase the font size and provide more room for the added URLs input might be to avoid a border. However, I've found it's advantageous to be able to have some indication of where to cut the four or two pamphlets if they're taken to the photocopy location to be cut by individuals. What would you advise re the print size? Might it be possible to produce a sample for forum members to determine what they think re various points? Could you explain what you mean by the 'pamphlet in special format'? Would it be as in the following info for the Identitiy/Resurrection pamphlet but CENTERED attractively for easy readability and formatted for easy access? DIVINE FEMININE Adi Shakti THE KINGDOM OF GOD Sahaja Yoga " spontaneous union " " You cannot know the meaning of your life until you are connected to the power that created you. Guest guest
Dear Jagbir, Gerlinde and All, i just clicked on the URL to access the Religions Chart spreadsheet, and i got this message: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pYGK_aXS7fgAlg8vH_DOzPA & gmrcpt When i clicked the choice 'to request permission' in the above URL, i got this message: http://spreadsheets.google.com/request?key=pYGK_aXS7fgAlg8vH_DOzPA i was able though to access this same chart which Gerlinde sent privately to me, also, so there was no 'problem' there. i might ring up the Computer Help people and see if they can tell me what to do. i wonder if anyone else is having this 'problem' or whether it is just me.
