Dear Babitha,

A deity becoming richer or poorer was said in good humour.Every deity has its own power with / without money. Basicaly the hundis where we give offerings to the deity are just a store house of protection which can be used in times of flood, famines, drought, etc. Devi is not going to take them away from us is a known factor. It is just a protective measure.

Secondly, the Kodi maram, which is in installed in every temple is a lightening arrest and protects the entire village . This has been the previous sampradayams when building a temple. So no house should be built above the temple height.

Thirupathi Lord Venkateswara as per vastu specialists, became richer due to a change in the temple precincts as per vastu. Tirupathi is the max wealth attracting centres in the world next to Vatican which also is done as per vastu. It is not necessary to be a hindu to appreciate hindu gods and being a hindu does not mean that we should not appreciate Gods of other religion. Nothing has been said to criticise the intent. You have said it is a temple and not an Ashram. A temple needs money for upkeep so do an Ashram. Here the deity is god, there the swamiji who is an ardent shishya of devi is seen as God. Bhagwan Manushyasya Roopena. Hope this is clear. Both of them require money.

i think it would have been appreciated if I had used the word 'our deity is getting richer or My deity is getting richer' instead of 'Your deity'. that is where is has been wrongly understood. Anyways, sorry if it has hurt ur feelings in any way.Babitha Vasanth <babitha70 wrote:

Is this a Comment or an Insult?

Your goodself being a Hindu should have thought twice to pass such a comment.

This is a Temple not an Ashram.

You have disappointed me with such a spoken phrase but as far as your heart is content with this mesg I have no comments to say.

Dear Kumar,

When I read that Mesg for the first instance I was only hurt to read you comment as I was not sure in what way you had put it but now after reading the below no offense at all.

YOu see we all are Gods children and it is not very good to hurt our mother in any way.

Anyway please dont stop your emails and all is forgotten.

Babitha
