YOGIC TIPS FOR DIFFERENT PRAKRUTIS v PITTA PRAKRUTI o Moderation The key principle in Pitta person is moderation in anything and everything. Making sure they do not push very hard. Any thing too much and too less is bad for them. Balance in everything is good for them. o Balance in activity and rest Alternating rest and activity is the basic rhythm of life for them. Very quite dinner, moderate activities, slow and calming music helps to balances their dosha. o Meditation Meditation is very useful for gaining inner balance and equilibrium. Pitta person has a very good sense of intellect and dynamic energy, meditation helps them to use this in its best way. When this is balanced Pitta person make a huge success in their life. o Cooling and Coolness Coolness in every form is good for Pitta person. Your room temperature, bathing water, loose and cool clothing and cooling drinks like coconut water is very good for them. v VATA

PRAKRUTI o Ample rest Take 5 -10 minutes rest frequently In Vata dominant Prakrutis over excitement turns to exhaustion and fatigue. That is why Vata persons easily suffer with anxiety and nervousness. Stop and rest for 5 to 10 mins helps to balance their physiology. o Adequate sleep Getting proper sleep every night is very important. Usually their sleep is very interrupted and inadequate due to nature of Dosha. Continuous efforts help them to normalise sleep. o Eat regularly and slowly

Exercise and Yogic asanas, which generate natural heat inside the body, are good for Vata constitution. o Avoid Stress stimulants High vatta music, action movies, and long hours of working and watching TV, especially in the evening, are all powerful aggravators of Vata. o Useful Yogic Practises Asanas: Yoga mudra, Agnisar, Uddiyan Pranayama & Breathing practise: Puraka-rechaka, Loma-viloma, Abdominal breathing, Ujjayi

Laughing is the best medicine for Pitta dosha person. o Useful Yogic Practises Asanas Pavanmuktasana, Parvatasana Pranayama Slow and calm abdominal breathing, cooling pranayama like Sitkari, Shitali and Loma-Viloma are very useful and helpful for them. Medication & Relaxation practices Brahma-mudra, Shava-asana (Deep Progressive Relaxation) v KAPHA PRAKRUTI o Weight control Obesity is a very common complaint for Kapha

prakruti. Being a heavy and oily dosha they are prone to suffer from overweight. Proper weight control program is very useful for them. o Regular exercise Everyday exercise is one of the best way to avoid accumulation of Kapha dosha and other toxins inside the body. Kapha benefits a lot from regular active exercise. o Stimulation Kapha dosha is dull and slow and this leads to heaviness and letharyness. Without activity Kapha dosha become dull and lethargic and this causes slowness in system and digestion. That is why Kapha persons are heaviness of abdomen and indigestion. Regular activity and maximum physical output by walking and other activities helps them to overcome dullness and laziness. o Stay warm and dryness Being a cool and cold dosha, Kapha benefits from heat. Dry heat is best for them to reduce excessive kapha dosha. Even dry self-body massage also helps, since Kapha is an oily dosha. o Useful Yogic Practises Asanas All active asanas, movement related practices, Surya-namaskar and all spinal bending related practices are good for them.
