The 1st, 2nd and 3rd days of the Navarathri are celebrated with Durga being the primary deity.The 4th, 5th & 6th days of the Navarathri are celebrated with Lakshmi being the primary deity.The 7th, 8th & 9th days of the Navarathri are celebrated with Saraswathi being the primary deity . On the 10th day (Vijayadasami) the primary deity is Sri Bala 11-10-2007 12-10-2007 Sri Maha Ganapathi, Sri Uchishta Ganapathi Homam, Nava Ganapathi Homam, Bagya Suktha HomamSri Navagraha homam, Maha Ganapahti: Homas for Maha Ganapathi will be performed with prayers that the whole function be conducted without any hinderance and requesting blessings for a successful function Sri Uchishta Ganapathi : Uchishta Ganapathi, a special deity worshipped at the peetam, considered, primary and powerful, he is seen with 10 hands, each with a weapon. He holds Goddess Devi in embrace who is seated in his lap.The fruits of the homa, are relief from diseases, removal of fear of death, removal of fear of enemies and the like. Nava Ganapathi Homam Nine Mantras devised by our Guru H.H. Swami Srividya Dos, to appease 9 forms of Ganapathi who destroys 9 Asuras. The 9 asuras are within us in the form of negative characters such as Jealousy, Anger, Revenge, Greed, Pride, and the like. After the homas, Ganapathi pratyeksha pooja for a Brahmachari is performed Nava Graha homam: Homas for the Navagraha are performed.
