The Navarathri Mahothsava is to be celebrated in our peetam from Thursday 11th October 2007 to Sunday 21st October 2007. Many special homas, poojas and Sahasranama archanas will be performed during the Mahotsava.

We cordially invite you all to participate in the function and get the blessings of Goddess Bala Thripurasundari and Mangala Mookambika.

The functionat our Peetam begins on Amavasya Day (11.10.2007) with homas and poojas for Maha Ganapathy as the Primary Deity. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd days of the Navarathri are celebrated with Durga being the primary deity.The 4th, 5th & 6th days of the Navarathri are celebrated with Lakshmi being the primary deity.The 7th, 8th & 9th days of the Navarathri are celebrated with Saraswathi being the primary deity . On the 10th day (Vijayadasami) the primary deity is Sri Bala

Sri Maha Ganapathi, Sri Uchishta Ganapathi Homam, Nava Ganapathi Homam, Bagya Suktha HomamSri Navagraha homam,

Maha Ganapahti: Homas for Maha Ganapathi will be performed with prayers that the whole function be conducted without any hinderance and requesting blessings for a successful function

Sri Uchishta Ganapathi : Uchishta Ganapathi, a special deity worshipped at the peetam, considered, primary and powerful, he is seen with 10 hands, each with a weapon. He holds Goddess Devi in embrace who is seated in his lap.The fruits of the homa, are relief from diseases, removal of fear of death, removal of fear of enemies and the like.

Nava Ganapathi Homam Nine Mantras devised by our Guru H.H. Swami Srividya Dos, to appease 9 forms of Ganapathi who destroys 9 Asuras. The 9 asuras are within us in the form of negative characters such as Jealousy, Anger, Revenge, Greed, Pride, and the like. After the homas, Ganapathi pratyeksha pooja for a Brahmachari is performed Nava Graha homam: Homas for the Navagraha are performed. Manthras are chanted for the nine planets, along with their immediate rulers (Athi Devatha), and the supreme rulers (Prathathi Devatha). This homa provides relief from any dosha as a result of unpleasant planetary positions.

 

Sri Aavahanthi HomamSri Doorva Suktha Homam

Sri Aavahanthi: This homa is performed for appeasing, Sri Annapoorneshwari. She is the bestower of food. The manthra for performing this homa is considred as prominent as an ox among cows. “Yah Chandasam, vrishabo Vishwa Roopaha”The manthra brings relief from scarcity of food, and brings plenty of grains. Special sankalpa for removing scarcity of food in the nation will be performed.After the homa, Pratyeksha pooja for a brahmachari is performed.

Sri Doorva Suktha Homam: Relief from sorrow, relief from nightmares, are few of the blessings we get from Sri Doorva Devi. She also blesses us with protection through a journey. She also blesses the childless with children.

Sri Kanaka Durga homam: Homa for Sri Kanaka Durga, who provides wealth, is performed to appease her. Wealth not necessarily in money alone, but wholesome wealth is sought. Wealth in Health, Name, Life, Education and the like.

Sri Drishti Visha Vinashaka Durga Devi Homam: The homa is performed for Durga Devi, who removes the ill effects of evil eye and relieves one from physical diseases.

Sri Prathyangara Devi Homam : Homa is performed for Sri Prathyangara Devi, for relief from loans, from ill effects created by enemies and relief from all kinds of fears & phobias.

Sri Durga Suktha Homam : The homa blesses us with Sarva Mangalam, strength and courage. Sri Durga Suktham is recognised as an effective manthra for wholesome satisfied life.

Sri Swapna Varahi Homam : The homa is performed for Sri Swapna Varahi, the Dhandini of Sri Matha Rajarajeshwari for protection against enemies and nightmares while blessing us with courage. She also blesses with full mangalam

Pratyeksha Durga Devi Pooja : A sumangali is presented with a Red Saree and Mangala Items. That sumangali is worshipped as Durga Devi.

Sri Saraswathi Gayathri Mantra Homam : The homa for Bramma Patni and Vidya Karini - Sri Saraswathi Devi is made through the Saraswathi Gayatri Mantram for bestowing us with Knowledge and wisdom.

Sri Lalitha Sahasranamam Homam : The homa is performed by chanting the 1000 names of Matha and for each name, Ahoothies are given with herbs. A nine yard saree is given in the poornahuthi. Sri Chintamani Saraswathi Homam : Homa is performed for Chintamani Saraswathi for removing the darkenss of ignorance and blessing with knowledge.

Sri Lalitha Thrisathi Homam: Homa is performed by giving ahoothies while chanting 300 names of Matha. The Thrisathi is panchadasakshari roopam.

Sri Vakvadhini Homam : Homa for Saraswathi by Vakvadhini Mantra for betterment in studies is performed

Prathyeksha Bala Pooja and Bala Samaradhana : Nine girls aged 4 to 9 will be worshiped as Devi Bala with skirt and blouse and other mangala items.
