On what day we can start reading the book.Within how many days we have

to complete.

If a person who is working can she or he read the book morning and

evening.

Please guide me through the complte rules and procedures, i am asking

out of ignorance.

Please help me and let me know complte details .

Thanks

Namaskarams,

dear Aarthi,

Normally it will be known as Navaha m( means to read the 18000 slokas in 9 days)

on the working class devotees can read one day at least one chapter.

start on today ( Vijayadashmi day ) the best option.

whenever starts and ends with the sloka 1st one. " Srishttya Sarga roopa "

then whenever complete the Skanthas offer some Neyvedhyam.

with care and Prayers

Yes there are strict rules to be observed / followed while reading the devi

bhagavatham -

however i will elaborate on this at a later date, Suffice to say that if and

ONLY if Devi permits

will you be allowed to complete the parayanam . It is not simple . where as from

Bhagavatham ( Lord Krishna ) you can read any chapter you like , not so in the

case of the

Devi Bhagavatham.

Every chapter is continued to the next one and one has to read it in an order

such that the

last chapter on the 9 day should be Devi Durga Vijayam and Kshamanpana stotram .

Believe me if she does not want you to read she will put a stop to it .There are

several slokas

to be chanted even before even the first chapter is read .

We are eagerly looking for the instructions which you know very well that to be maintained while reading the Devi Bhagavatham. Also, if you can point out what are all the solkas to be recited even before reading the first chapter as well. Your early elaboration on this matter would be much helpful for us.
