Guest guest
The meaning of spirituality is very simple, and can be explianed as being in conscious state or enlightened.Indian philosophy means about it this much only. But there are two great straems in our philosophy each stream containing 6 theorems each in them. if you look into these two streams, you can understand that one stream takes the Vedas as their foundation and the other does not depend up on Vedas in establishing. The six theories of first stream are - Nyaya, Vaisheshika, Sankhya, Yoga, Poorva meemaamsa and Uthara meemamsa (Vedantha)- these six, since depend up on Vedas, are based on Faith in what we call Almighty. The six ones of second are- Charvaka ism, Jainism, Sarva soonya vaada, Vijnana Vaada, Bahyanumeya Vaada and Sarvasthithwa vaada. the last four constitute Buddhism and all these six are atheistic theories. So, in Indian Philosophy, both faith and atheism have equal status regarding spirituality. This is some not digested for the westerners and missionaries, and even to hardcore Hindus, since they cannot imagine a religion without faith in God. But India teaches that for spirituality, we do not need God, but if you need you can depend upon Him too. The reason is that, spirituality is teh matter of the Individual only, even god has no role in it. Without understanding this lesson, it will be difficult to learn spirituality.if somebody wishes to learn what is spirituality, the person should go through Geeta, Bible, Upanishads, Khur-an, the works of swami Vivekananda, Das Capital (Carl Marx) and Osho. In my opinion, before making spirituality a subject for talk in a forum like this, let all read at least these and then think by their own. Because, spirituality is something that none can teach others. What we see as spiritual preaches are the works in its lowest level, and that helps none to attain the enlightened stage, instead you can be a slave of a so called religious leader. There are guides (Gurus), ok, but the travel is yours and even the guide cannot be your companian in spiritual path. First we have to read, take teh advices of a good guide whom we select and then go through the great path and attain.luvBalaram --- On Mon, 4/6/09, kouakou philippe <kykphilippe wrote:kouakou philippe <kykphilippeRe: Please Read Date: Monday, April 6, 2009, 8:22 AM Greetings, Good to hear your word.
