Dear members,

This small update bulletin, is to inform you all about the information updates concerning the web site - http://in.geocities.com/arunagirinathar,

aswell as other news. The web site has undergone some of the following major

changes -

The Link Graphics have been trimmed (in size). Moreover,

this trimming down has fixed one of the glaring bugs in Microsoft Internet

Explorer, - The transparent background showed up as either the white, grey

or silver. This has been fixed. So now the links look great even on Microsoft

Internet Explorer.

A New section called 'Bhakti Panchangam' has been added.

This gives information about the various important dates of Hindu religious

significance (viz. Shashti, Krithikai, Pradosham etc.). There is also a

printer friendly version of this document. Apart from this there is also

a list of other important festivals in the calendar year in the 'printable

version'.

We are also indeed happy to announce that yet another document

has been added to the 'texts' repository. The 'Swaminatha Stotram' was added in the 1st week of september 2003, which was in the Devanagiri Script. Now the same has been digitized in Tamil Script and added to the repository.

The picture gallery has seen a lot of change. The existing

gallery (Lord of the Six Abodes) has been modified to be viewed with an

interface consistent with the web site.

Apart from this, a brand new gallery has been added. This

one contains a presentation on Lord Muruga based on the Thiruppugazh of

Arunagirinathar, sung at Thiruvannamalai. Thanks to Mr. Patrick

Harrigan, web master of Murugan Bhakti Web sites, for his generosity in

readily granting permission to incorporate images from Murugan Bhakti Web

sites, this presentation could be now published, and allowed for public

view. Please note that to view this presentation, you'll require Macromedia

Flash Player version 5 or later, which is available for free download for

a range of platforms including Microsoft® WindowsTM,

Mac OS, GNU/Linux® etc. from the macromedia web site (http://www.macromedia.com/).

Due to it's multimedia nature, the presentation has become rather large,

about 1.7 megabytes.

This is a kind request for all our bhakta members to visit the

web site and go through it, so that everyone can profit from information

published. Suggestions and critical comments for further improvement of the

web site, it's content and / or interface are most welcome. These may be

conveyed by posting them to this group. Members may also kindly sign in the

guest book.

Murugan Bhakti Web sites (http://www.murugan.org/) now have a more powerful, flexible, and professional search engine. With

a single click, now, one can search through 1300 documents spread over 11

web sites. This search engine also incorporates the flexibility of searching documents on a single domain (web site). The searching is quite fast despite the relatively large database of pages. Moreover, unlike the previous one (powered by fusionBOT), this does not have any advertisements so, there will

be no (so-called) annoying pop-up's, banners etc. Bhaktas can find the required

information using this powerful search engine. Kindly log on to http://www.murugan.org

to access this search engine.
