Kadalagi Kasindu Kanneer Malgi - Even if 10% of it is

experienced, undoubtedly it is the most wonderful

I was disturbed to see the new statue at Palani when I

went there in Feb. Is it correct to do as we like, by

bypassing the centuries old original idol of mulavar

and doing all abhishekams to the new idol. Will the

belssings of Lord be there for this. On whose

authority are these being performed?

 

I have also heard that it is written in one of the

stone carvings in Palani that there is another exactly

similar Navabashana idol hidden in the hill and when

the old idol slowly gets completely destroyed the new

one will appear and then it will be installed. I dont

know if it will happen in our life time.

i have read periya puranam. it is so nice the only one puranam in original written in tamil and written in sanskrit afterwards. the sanskrit name is upamanyu bhakta vilasam. periya puranam is nothing but the stories of arupathumoval 63 sivanadiyars. they have only one goal in common to serve fellow sivanadiayr devotees of siva irrespecive of caste and creed.the characters are real and common persons.includes kings,fisherman,dhobi,potter all serving sivanadiyar.in mylapore temple they have small sannidies for all the 63 nayanmars and once in a yesar the utsava mpprthies are taken out in procession in chithrai masam.in the temples against each nayanmar you can find their name birtmonth and star

let the divine grace follw every where to each and every one
