Guest guest
hi, i am also a new member to the group. and i come here via my research on PEACOCK, and everything to do with peacock as represented in the visual and performing arts, myth, spiritual writings, anecdotes... anything. my connection to the peacock is a strange and long story, full of synchronicity (divine guidance?). since 1995 it has taken me on a pilgrimage, a type of quest, all over india, and to connecting with Krishna, Ramana Maharshi, Shiva and now Muragan, as of course his vehicle is the peacock. i would be very grateful if anyone out there has any insights into peacock, in any way, whether childhood stories, personal anecdotes, spiritual guidance, or whatever. Sri Aurobindo apparently spoke of peacock as symbol of " victory of the divine " i am an australian filmmaker, currently staying in auroville, in TN, and hoping to come back more and more often to india. this is my sixth trip to india since '95. best wishes, penny fowler-smith (my connection to peacock is even in my name... p.fowler = peafowler = " shepherd of peacocks " )
Guest guest
Hi, Saint Arunagirinathar's MAYIL(Ma ILL) VIRUTHAM(WE RUE THMaM) a composition of 10 songs exclusively on peacock may be of special value to your research. Some sites has full translation with meaning in English. Please get to see some live peacocks action in large numbers(from film point of view) at VIRALIMALAI near Trichy in T.N. Good luck and look forward to your release soon.
