Guest guest
MURUGA SARANAM After a longtime I was blessed to listento a lecture by Thirumuruga Kripananda Variyar. This one was on a Thirupugazh verse " Kaithala Niraikani " . It is an enjoyable learning experience to listen to people like Kripananda Variyar. So proficient in the TamilLanguage & its grammar, inthe verses, his own impeccable style as a speaker.. the way he uses examples, humor and anecdotes are really superb. At one point he says, All the devas who were defeated by the asuras tell to sivaperuman, " Muruga peruman varuvatheppo, Suranai samharam seivatheppo, Engal kashtam theervatheppo " (When will Lord Muruga appear, when will He kill the demon and when will our life turn to normal). Then he says " does HE need to appear and fight and kill the the demon? If HE thinks the demon will be finished, HE does not need to do anything. If HE laughs the demon will be rooted out " . Because HE is the creator and the Masterof everything. But why HE does things His own way, HE only knows. Its all His lila (pastimes). He enjoys everything. May be its only to bless us that HE does things this way. I really feel sad for the lost days when Kripananda Variyar was alive. At his times I was a boy and did not realise that listening to him on The Lords Glories can be so enjoyable. One good thing that still his relatives are bringing out audio casettes. He nicely sings all the verses by heart. I bought this audio cassette when I went to Chennai. It was available on a stand outside Saravana Bhavan Restaurant in Anna Nagar. Do we get Kripananda Variyars works as audio on the web? Is there anyone else who is an expert on giving lectures onthe verses like Thirupugazh or Kandar Anubhuthu or pastimes of Lord Murugan? Would be veryglad if anyone shares similar lectures on hymns of Lord Murugan. MURUGA SARANAM WitHBest Regards Meyyapan S

Guest guest
MURUGA SARANAM As you said I too felt there is no one who can give discourses like Kripananda Variyar. It is very nice to know that he rewards children with books during his lectures. I remember in my boyhood we use to write " Om Muruga " 108 times in a postcard and send to a person living in Tirunelveli and he would send us a copy of Kandar Shashti Kavasam. I salute this great people and Thank Lord Murugan for bringing in such personalities into our lives to elevate us. May All Glories be to Lord Murugan MURUGA SARANAM With Best Regards Meyyappan S dhandapani , prkrishnan1942` krishnan <prkrishnan1942> wrote: > meyadiayargalukku vanakkam > avan arulal avan tal paninthu ellavaraium vanankugiren > as u said we all miss variyar swamyis very much.i had opportunity to be with him for many hours as we were just satying opposit to his home at chintadripet singanna chetty street and used to visit his office down.they were having publishing house amrithavashani publishers.though there is no one equal to him to give lectures in tamil specially about lord muruga we have nagai mukundhan who also gives lectures about various sunjects and late pulavr keeran.kripanandha varrier swamigal is above every body who spread saivam and specially the pukaz of muruga in india and outside india like srilanka, malayasia, singapore to name few.he while giving discourses made even children happy y asking questions and rewarding them with devotional books
