Guest guest
MURUGA SARANAM Mercy of Murugan is boundless. I know atleast three cases of miracles during Paatha Yathirai to Palani. Though I strongly believe that one should not be looking for miracles and oracles during devotion, at times it strucks us with awe. In one case a man who could not speak anything was sincerely taking up the pilgrimage year after year. He use to say " mu aa " mu aa " . Later he was able to say " muka muka " . Now he not only says Muruga but singing bhajans with devotion while leading people in the pilgrimage. If not for Murugan's love and grace how can this happen. Another boy's ankle was having a problem and was all the time limping if he had to walk fast. During this paatha yathirai his leg became Normal by the grace of Murugan. Another case is unbelievable. A child who was diagnosed with blood cancer was uncurable (ofcourse it is common knowledge that it is uncurable). But the strong belief and determination of the dad of the child lead to a miraculous curing of the child who is now a lady (and I guess she is also blessed with a child). Year after year the gentleman keeps serving (even now) the devotees of Lord Murugan during paatha yathirais. There is a large number of people specifically coming and spending lot of money to devotees who are on pilgrimage by foot to any Murugan sthalam and Palani in particular. The most common wish people take to Palani during paha yathirai is to bless them with a baby or a male baby. And they get that. Every one carries a problem with Him and sincerely fulfils the Viratham (sincere and strict following of virathams is most important in Muruan Bhakthi) and the on foot pilgrimage to Palani during Thaipusam comes grinning wondering how the most difficult problems could give the impression as if there was no problem at all. Though I would not want to lead people into blind beliefs, if our belief and faith in Him is strong and if our Love towards Him is deeper than the deep blue sea and we put our efforts sincerely in all possible ways, He showers His grace upon us. When we are successsful in getting that it appears as mircale for us. As rightly said by Mr Krishnan, Nattukottai chettiars put so much in Murugan Bhakthi. I could still remember a song in praise of Thanneer Malai Muruga peruman of Penang. The hymn says about the sorrow and agony of a person leaving abroad (to Malaysia) in ship for a greener pasture. When he sees the sad face of his wife and the tearsful face of mother and loving faces of the tiny tots, among all of them the bright face of Sendhur Aandavan is glowing telling that He is there with him anywhere he goes to guide him and say. My eyes get filled when I learn that He is there anywhere and everywhere we go just to help us and give the solace and inner peace when we return tired after struggling for our bread and butter day after day. That much is the Love He has towards every devotee of Him. May All the Glories be to Senthil Aandavan May All the Glories be to Thanneer Malai Murugan (Penang) May All the Glories be to Subrahmanya Swami whose form and manifestation is Love and Grace. Guest guest
Thank you very much for sharing your inspiring experiences. It is these kind of stories we need to rejuvenate our belief in Murugan. I'm still a traveller in my journey of life. I hope Murugan will give me the opportunity to share my stories of His grace soon. Patricia Meyyappan S <meyyappan_s wrote: MURUGA SARANAMMercy of Murugan is boundless.
