Guest guest
Hi, All people visit pazhani and offer prayers. But no one is allowed to stay at night on the hills on any day. except one day. You know only on that day, the people belonging to fisherman community of a small town Idappadi, in Salem District, Tamil Nadu,(and also from other parts of TN like Kumbakonam, Salem, Bhavani etc) visit this temple. This day usually falls on Thai month (january 15 to feb 15)may be on the week of 'thai poosam' but not on that day but usually after it. Only on that day devottees are allowed to stay on the hill. During that day, not only that community alone, all people visit and stay at the hill. During this time, the people from Idappadi go on padayatra from their to pazhani and during which free food is provided to all. This practice is continued over 350 years. Is it not astonishing. I belong to that town and community. So I know these details. Hope this detail is helpful to you. and some one may use this opportunity and make a stay at the holy hill.
