I sincerely offer my thanx and wishes to Ms.Patricia, Mr.Meyappan and Mr.Dhandapani . As we beleive that Murugan is the youngest chella pillai, North Indians consider Ganesa to be it. Anyway everything boils down to worshipping the Lord with true heart. I am sure we woudnt fight over it as once Saivites and Vaishnavites did centuries ago as to who was great. Thanx a lot for all your help and glory to The Lord who made us think about him by atleast having this small discussion at our home. By the way, here's a final point that could be useful to you. When I attended a Ganesh puja recently, the priest was reciting the mantras to Lord Ganesh. One of the Sanskrit mantras he uttered was: " Om Skanda-Poorvajaaya Namaha " . Skanda-Poorvaja literally means " One born before Skanda " . BTW, I too came across a few references where Murugan is regarded as the older one.. someplace in Bengal?
