To be precise, I am not wrong it is 80Km SW off Mysore(?). I am not sure neither can i vouch for it, but my recollection is so. I have seen photos of it, and quite little has ever changed since the ancient times. It is relatively unaffected by the modern-era! Kishkindha is still " primarily " inhabited by Monkeys. Dronagiri used to form an integral part of Kishkindha, but today the actual location of Dronagiri is unaware. There is a temple of Hanuman ontop of a hill, which is in Kishkindha(?). || Thiruchitrambalam || ===== || Thiruchitrambalam || ______________________ India Matrimony: Find your life partner online Go to: http://.shaadi.com/india-matrimony
Guest guest
i happened to visit a ram temple near Happy .the place at present called Yantro dwaraka 4-5 km from Hampi.the temple is in a small hillock and Ram,lakshman and sita idols are curved abt 6-7 feet in a cave. next to that is a temple where the Hanuman is sitting with both the hands folded in the lotus chakra. as informed by the people and the gurukkal , the place is historicaaly famous in ramayan period and the place where loed RAM spent his vanawas . may be it the same part which the author narrates as kishkintha.lots of monkeys are still there and the temple is in the mids of river. sridharan.s"R.Sivaramakrishna Sharma" <arunagirinathar wrote: > KISHKINDA is one location he dwells on considerably.> > It is, according to the author, located in the> region> which is present day Karnataka.
