Well there is no exact english or any other Non-Indian language translation for certain Indic (sanskrit / vedic) words). A Yaagam is often addressed as Sacrifice - but it is more than that, actually much much much more than mere sacrifice. Yaagam does include sacrifice but it's only a part of the whole process. Once the great seer of Sringeri of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Chandrashekara Bharathi Swamigal once asked one of his devotees (Sir C. P. Ramaswami Aiyar) - Can you tell me an equivalent word for Dharma in Anglo Language ? Sir C. P. Ramaswami Aiyar replied - Not a complete full translation - Discipline, Charity ...... The jagadguru replied ... well this is one of the many instances of the superiority and beauty of Devanagiri. The lesson = One can not expect to bring a translation to every single vedic term in English, because English is _Technically_ a mere subset of devanigiri(sanskrit) with a mixture and 'corruption' from local dialects including persian and some other tribal speech (prevalent in Europe). || Thiruchitrambalam || ______________________ India Matrimony: Find your life partner online Go to: http://.shaadi.com/india-matrimony
Guest guest
MURUGA SARANAM Dear Mr. Ramesh.. This is really a novel idea that will benefit injured minds. Let us all Pary together. Like Prarthana Club of Kumutham, if combined prayer is requested the praying time and other necessary details may be posted (ofcourse with the permission of the moderator) and we all can pray together at the same time. Mass prayers have more effect than the individual ones.
