Hai all,

Last week i have gone to Sivan Malai near Kangayam(Erode - Tamil Nadu). And I wish to share some points with you all.

Since the Lord Muruga here was worshipped by Siva Vakkiya Sittar (One of the 18 famous siddas of India) this Mountain is called as Sivan Malai and the Lord is called as Sivan Malai Andavar. There is an idol of Siva Vakkiya Sittar in Dyana state.

Here Lord Muruga is with Valli and Deivayanai the two consorts of Muruga. But the Garba Graha is built such that one can see only Muruga and so there is a seperate sannadi only for Valli and Deivayanai.

And at the entrance there is a Linga and there is also an idol for parvathi. Near by there are idols for Nava Veeras(who are the younger brothers of Muruga and also considered as the senapathys of Muruga, the yeldest among them is Veerabagu Thevar). I ve seen the idols for nava veeras only in Tiruthani before.

And one more important point I wish to share here is, there is a tradition in this temple. Lord Muruga will come in the dream of any baktha and will intimate to keep a thing in pooja. That will be a intimation for the baktas to be careful with that particular one. Some 5 years ago sand was in pooja and at that time earth quake arised in Gujarat and also the field Real Estate got a worst position that it has got it never. And for the past three years water is in pooja and you know whats happening now. I dont have proper wordings to express the above fact but the fact is cen percent true. If I come accross any web site about this temple I will try to forward to the group.

Thank you.
