Yes, thanks. I actually do refer to this site when I work on writing

some of the Tpugazh songs in verse form.. here is one of the songs

vEzham uNda.. that I tried.. a modified transaltion in verse form.

Afflicted with a viral disease

Like the viLaam fruit,

My flesh all dry has run its lease,

My body a bare root!

Yes, the body now a mere shell

Decayed by the ravages of lust,

Ignorance thriving alive and well

Like stupidity in fools must!

As I weaken in physical state

Won't you your grace bestow?

How much must I deteriorate

Before I see your glow?

The samaNa saints met their fate

At the gallows of deathly sighs,

After losing with you their debate

O' Warrior and Apostle wise!

You-the son of that guru you taught

Meaning of the sacred quote;

O' son of Siva! Uma's consort!

Who bears poison in his throat!

At Kashi yet another home have you

On the banks of the Ganges sun,

O' how much longer must I imbue

Before we merge into one?

Its nice to see your interest on Tiruppugal. Translating a verse in different languages will make it to be convinient for many people.

Muruga will guide you in rest of the process also. All the best.Raji Iyer <kavayyaar wrote:
