Guest guest
Marudamalai Murugan temple is 15kms from Coimbatore. It is bieng built by Pambatti siddar who is one among the popular siddas and he lived in Marudamalai Murugan temple. He is called so because he could make snakes to do what ever he told. He was the first to build a temple for Marudamalai Murugan and he worshipped Marudamalai Murugan. One can see Pambatti Siddar Gugai even now and it has the shape of a Snake. Near this Gugai is the Adhi Moolastanam. Here Muruga is found with Aru - Uruva Thirumaeni with Valli and Deivayanai in the form of Linga. There is a sub-way(Surangam) between Pambatti Siddar Gugai and Adhi Moolastanam. Even today a snake from this Gugai will come from the Siddar Gugai and take banana and milk from the devotees. It is believed that Pambatti Siddar is living in the form of Snake.Even now pooja will be conducted first in the Adhi Moolastanam and then only it will be conducted in the Moolavar Sannidi in the New Temple.
