Amirdavalli and Sundaravalli are the two daughters of Maha Vishnu born from his eyes. And they wanted to marry Muruga. Amirdavalli was care taken by the vahana of Indiran called Irvadam(basically it was an elephant) and hence she was also called as DevaYanai. She got maried with Muruga in Tiruparangundram and devamuni Narada helped her to marry Muruga. So the idol of Narada is also there in the Garba Graha of Tiruparangundram. And Sundaravalli was born as Valli in next birth and she married Muruga in Valli malai, which is in the TamilNadu - Kerala border. Amirdavalli is believed to be the form of Kriya Sakthi and Sundara Valli is believed to be Iccha Sakthi. So the Subramanya kolam of Muruga says,"If you can control iccha and Kriya in you, you can easily attain Gnana" since Muruga is the Universal Guru and he, himself is the form of Gnana.Kaandanae Unai
