Arunagirinathar distinguished the Arupadai veedus of Murugan as follows -

 

1. Tiruparangundram(Parangundru)

2. Tiruchendur(Tirucheralaivai)

3. Palani(Thiru avinangudi)

4. Swami Malai(Thiruveragam)

5. Kundruthoradal ie., every according to Arunagirinathar every Kundru is the living place of Muruga and ssome of the fifth Padai veedus sung by Arunagirinathar are

Swami malai

Surulimalai

ilangi

Kundrakudi

Virali malai

Vayalur

Vaitheeswaran koil

6. Palamudir Cholai
