Hi everyone,

I will tell some details about tirupparangundram(one of the abodes

of lord muruga) temple

1. The temple has six floors.( it was given in a website that the

temple has five floors-which is wrong information).

2. If you want to do pradhakshanam, then u have to go around the hill.

there is now way u can do pradhakshanam for the temple alone, because

it is a rock cut cave temple.

3. this is the place where lord muruga married deivanai and so, this

small town has around 30 kalyana mandapams(marriage halls) and

marriage at tirupparankundram is said to be auspicious.

4. this temple has totally six main deities( Lord Vinayaga, Shiva,

Durgai, Murugan, Vishnu and kovarthanambigai(separate sannidhi(room)

in the next floor) depicting the six main forms of worship in hinduism.

6. totally there are six water tanks in tirupparangundram.

please correct me if iam wrong
