Dear Members,

The coming Vinayaka Chaturti (2008), marks the fifth anniversary

of dhandapani group. Since 2003, dhandapani group has been actively

involved in discussions pertaining to Lord Muruga, Murugan Bhakti,

Bhakti in general and other similar topics.

Dhandapani group was started in the Chaturti of 2003, primarily as

a platform for a forum of Murugan Bhaktas. since then, the group has

grown in activity and members.

To commemorate this fifth anniversary, it has been decided that we

have a Group souvenir released on this occasion. Articles on lines of

the following topics are welcome -

 

1. About Lord Muruga & Murugan Bhakti , Pictures

2. Abodes of the Lord

3. Saints and Devotees

4. Slokas, Hymns poems etc.

5. Devotee experiences

6. Other Aspects of Bhakti

7. Other Aspects of Hinduism

 

Articles may be in English, Hindi, Tamil or Telugu. Please note that

all submissions must be original (not lifted from any other sources).

Those referring to books, need to provide bibliography.

Also, the group souvenir is planned to be released under a

Creative-Commons License, so that everyone can benefit from such a

publication. Thus, contributors need to essentially release their

contributions under a similar license. For details of this copyright,

All entries must be sent on or before July 30th 2008 8:00 PM IST.

Those contributing pictures should do so provided the pictures are not

clobbered with copyright problems.

 

Currently, myself and Mr. Meyyappan are co-ordinating and volunteering

in this endeavour. Those who would like to volunteer may contact us

for more details. Volunteers are needed for proof-reading, editing and

co-ordinating.

 

We hope that by the grace of Lord Muruga, this endeavour will be

crowned with success. Awaiting your positive response.
