'Toá¸uá¸aya Sèviyan' is the first composition of the great child saint 'TirujñÄna-Sambandhar', whose compositions occupy a prominent place in the Åšaiva canonical works, the Tirumurais, twelve in number. Presented here is a brief note tracing the incident(s) which led to the child saint composing the hymn, the original work in Tamil script along with a melodious rendering set to Gambhiranattai raga.
