Muruga Saranam.

 

Today I was hearing the Sri skandham. Sri Sengalipuram N. Rama Dhikshithar was

telling an incident happened in Muruga Bhaktha's life. I wanted to share that

with everybody.

 

Smt.Sudharambal used to hear his discourse of Sri skandam. She said, Once she

was suffering from some severe problem in her throat. All the doctors are

advised her to do the operation. Moreover they said after the operation she

must not speak much and she should completely stop to sing. But she refused to

do the operation because of the affection and love toward Lord Muruga. At night

time when she was sleeping, In the form of six years old boy with Vel Lord

Muruga appeared in her dream and he put his Vel in her tongue. Surprisingly the

very next day her throat problem cured by the grace of Lord Murugan. She

immediately went to Palani and did a Katcheri in his temple then returned back

her home.

 

The another incident is, One day an auditor (I forgot his name) was suffering

from a severe stomachache. Every body was telling his family was always used to

do annadhanam for thousand people every year in Swami malai. But they stopped

that. So this is the reason for this disease. They suggested him to pray to

the Lord Murugan.

 

By the Grace of the God Murugan he was completly cured. So as per his promise

he was doing annadhana in swamimalai temple for 100 people in a day upto 10

days. One day an old man came there. He asked that auditor to give some food

as he was very hungry. But that auditor was refused to give him food. Because

they prepared food for only Hundred person. But the old man said, just give me

some food it will not come into your calculation moreover you don't want to give

me Dhakshana. But that auditor did not accept to give food to that old man.

So, the old man left from that place.

Immediately that auditor again caught by that severe stomachache. Out of pain

he went to a room and he became unconsiousness. He got a dream. Lord Murugan

appeared in his dream and said, I came only for some food. But you refused to

give me. I told you my food will not come into the calculation. You could not

understand what I was telling. So, again start that annadhana from the

beginning and give food to thousand people without any calculation. Then Lord

Murugan disappeared from his dream. After he wake up he is cured again then he

did as per the command of Lord Muruga.

Dear Anand,

 

Thanks a lot for sharing these wonderful incidents. Great Bhakthas' lives are full of such incidents where in Lord Muruga very clearly and instantaneously responds. Be it Anna Dhana or at party times or festival times if someone comes for food they should never be turned away at all. And water should never be saved in secret for ourselves. If someone is in need of water and we know we have it should immediately be given to quench their thirst.
