Hare Krishna, Can anyone attempt to compare the intensity of devotion which he displays, with the grace that Lord Krishna showers? Devotional exercises may assume different forms and dimensions. Some may spend lavishly on their modes of worship while some may offer just a flower at the Lord’s feet. Lord Krishna will bestow His affection, compassion and benefaction on all those who depend on Him. Even to an enemy, the Lord will show His sympathy as seen in His gesture when He incarnated as Rama . All that He expects is repentance and an assurance of a man's faith in Him. Krishna descended to the level of an envoy to plead on behalf of Pandavas who had taken refuge in Him and who were cheated by their opponents. Krishna’ kindness which has no limits, cannot be easily evaluated by any yardstick as seen by the events in the Mahabharatam.

Commentators point out that when deputed by Lord Rama, Anjaneya not only located Sita but achieved eight other tasks including setting fire to Lanka. The Lord felt that He too should perform the role of an envoy and so took upon Himself the diplomatic assignment in His incarnation as Krishna. As against the nine achievements of Anjaneya, Lord Krishna carried out 18 major duties including the response to the call of His devotee to protect her from the clutches of evil forces who tried to disrobe her. Krishna saw to the unending flow of her garment, making the wicked Dusasana fall down totally exhausted. What other proof is necessary to show the extent of His mercy? Never will Lord Krishna ignore the sincere pleas of any devotee.

It is interesting to note how Krishna saw to the removal of impediments which otherwise would have presented dangerous hazards to the Pandavas. Incidentally, these events reveal how damaging insults hurled upon noble souls, more so Krishna's devotees, by arrogant elements would recoil on them, even resulting in their destruction. In the Ramayana, the son of Ravana branded his uncle Vibhishana a traitor, driving the latter to Rama's camp. In the Mahabharatam, Duryodhana charged that his uncle (Vidhura) was

a betrayer, which angered the latter and made him break his bow, declaring he would not join the battle. Had he stayed on with the Kauravas, it would have been tough to face his mastery in archery. Secondly, Krishna created a situation by which Aswathama's bonafides were suspected and so he was denied the privilege of commanding the Kaurava army. In the third, the Lord removed the major hurdle of the Pandavas should they fight with Karna. He made Kunti seek a promise from Karna not to kill any of the Pandavas.

Please Chant:Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare HareHare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare HareAnd Be Happy.
