The supreme enlightenment of Krishna consciousness is spreading all around the world. We can see millions of people remaining in the darkness of ignorance as they blindly pursued material goals leading them ultimately nowhere. My intense prayer and ardent hope is that the entire world can now awaken to the sublime process of Krishna consciousness so that everyone can become re-established in their original eternal nature full of knowledge and

full of bliss.This world, after all, is a place of confirmed misery. There is nothing here but birth, death, old age, and disease. This is verified by Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad-gita:

a-brahma-bhuvanal lokahpunar avartino 'rjunamam upetya tu kaunteyapunar janma na vidyate

"From the highest planet in the material world down to the lowest, all are places of misery wherein repeated birth and death take place. But one who attains to My abode, O son of Kunti, never takes birth again." Bg 8.16If we want actual happiness we must come to the transcendental platform. That is where actual happiness exists. On the spiritual platform one naturally experiences ever-increasing happiness at every moment. This is confirmed in the Vedanta-sutras: anandamayo 'bhyasat -- the spirit is by nature full of happiness. The happiness in spiritual nature always increases in volume with ever more luminous stages of enlightenment. There is no question of ever decreasing the bliss. Such unalloyed spiritual bliss is nowhere to be found within the orbit of the material universe, including even the heavenly region sought out by mundane religionists. Even Lord Brahma, the presiding deity of Brahmaloka, the topmost heavenly planet in this material world, is subject to the laws of fruitive actions and the law of birth and death. Only one who is fully realized in Krishna consciousness and who has thus fully surrendered to the lotus feet of Lord Sri Krishna is eligible to be promoted to the planets beyond the region of heaven. The greatness of the

Supreme Lord is so great that it cannot be imagined even by great renouncers, but such happiness is factually attained by the unalloyed devotees of the Lord, by His divine grace . Even though such a golden opportunity to achieve the supreme perfection is there for every living being who has taken the human form in this lifetime it is very rare to find even one soul who is even slightly interested in this ultimate knowledge. This is confirmed by Lord Sri Krishna in the Bhagavad-gita as follows:

manusyanam sahasresukascid yatati siddhayeyatatam api siddhanamkascin mam vetti tattvatah

"Out of many thousands among men, one may endeavor for perfection, and of those who have achieved perfection, hardly one knows Me in truth." Bhagavad-gita 7.3

So we don't expect to find many people practicing Krishna consciousness in this world. It is a very, very small number. When we are fortunate enough to find a Krishna consciousness person it is just like arriving at an oasis after wandering through hundreds of miles of desert wasteland practically dying for lack of water. Then upon reaching the oasis our thirst is totally quenched and we become completely revived from our near death-like state. If you

ever are so fortunate to find yourself in such company you should fully capitalize on the opportunity be begging such an enlightened soul to fully bless you with transcendental knowledge.For such a person such knowledge is available in the Bhagavad-gita .
