Pranam to all Vaishnavas,

Sri Krishna influences all activities of His Devotees.

Apart from the lesson that is taught in Vedic philosophy that Sri Krishna possesses innumerable auspicious qualities, He is also the inner ruler, motivator, responsible for all the threefold activities of men - thinking, willing and feeling. Nothing can take place without Krishna’s approval. This clearly indicates that all His creations are dependent on Krishna. The Lord

inspires all activities of His devotees in all its four stages (waking, dreaming, sleeping and transcendental). No development of the stature of the devotee to work out his potentialities is possible without Krishna's aid, thus bringing out His unlimited omnipotence.

It is on the point about the freedom of an individual that some people get agitated, though they are not Atheists. Does not this lack of free will seem to go contrary to the growth of individuality of each one? Does it not amount to discouragement and demotivation, stunting the development of personality? Does not the concept of Sri Krishna as the most compassionate guide enabling an individual to display his attributes dampen the enthusiasm of a person?.

Answers to such doubts have been answered by our saints. Srimad Bhagavatam has given a convincing reply to such skeptics . That Sri Krishna is full of mercy and extends His grace to souls (men) is an unassailable fact, says Sri Vijayadhwaja Theertha (15th century) who has contributed a brilliant commentary on the entire Bhagavatham which has hence been called ``Vijayadhwajeeyam''. Though he was the seventh pontiff of the Udupi Pajawar Math, tradition holds that Goddess Durga appeared in his dream instructing him to start a branch which he carried out. It is called Chitrapur Math. It is said that even nature cooperated with him when he

wrote the commentary on Bhagavatham, by stopping the rustling of the branches of the tree beneath which he compiled the details. The saint has said that by constantly remembering Sri Krishna, we mortals enrich ourselves, seek His blessings and get over all situations.

Draupadi, could have destroyed the evil-doers (Kauravas) but she invoked Sri Krishna's help, to show that it was He who had given her the spiritual strength. When it is used, credit is given first to the Lord. This mature thinking dawns after considerable experience. Bhima at every stage prayed to Sri Krishna to grant His blessings. This valiant character's dependence on Krishna demonstrates the individual soul's eagerness to avail what Sri Krishna is ready to offer.

Sri Krishna says in Gita, Chapter 4 :

Sloka 10

vita-raga-bhaya-krodha / man-maya mam upasritahbahavo jnana-tapasa / puta mad-bhavam agatah(Freed from attachment, fear and anger, being absorbed in Me,and taking refuge in Me, many persons in the past became purified by true knowledge of Me and thus they all attained transcendental love for Me.)

Sloka 40

ajnas casraddadhanas ca / samsayatma vinasyatinayam loko 'sti na paro / na sukham samsayatmanah(Those who are ignorant, faithless and of a doubting nature are ruined. For the doubting person, there is happiness neither in this world nor

in the next.)

OM NAMO BHAGAVATE VASUDEVAYA!!!

Krishna’s Dasi, Jayamma
