The whole world is waiting for the reawakening of the happy days of Bhagavat-dharma that previously flourished on this planet. In the previous yugas (ages) the entire planet was peaceful and happy under the direction of Krishna conscious leaders. Gradually over the last 5,000 years the consciousness quality throughout the world has gradually become more and more polluted. The result is that now in every part of the world there is chaos and confusion. Young children are now so miserable that they take guns to school to shoot dead their teachers and fellow classmates and put a bullet to

their own heads.It has reached such a point where the leaders are totally lost, almost completely devoid of the higher consciousness of human life. Instead of dutifully protecting the citizens as they are meant to, they promote the murder of innocent children in the womb. Instead of protecting that sacred animal who nurtures us with her milk, the cow, they fully support the cruel, ghastly institution of cow slaughter. Instead of doing their duty of delivering their dependents from the cycle of birth and death, they reinforce by their thoughts and deeds the false conception of bodily existence thus entangling their citizens more and more in the all-entangling web of karma.Mostly we prefer not to think about the ever-compounding crisis that is closing

in on the human society. We’d rather not hear about the rapidly shrinking rain forests and a myriad of other impending disasters. It’s just too depressing. Even though we are on a sinking Titanic, we’d rather stay in the ballroom for at least a few more dances instead of heading for the lifeboat. We feel helpless to do anything to stem the rising tide of environmental and sociological deterioration.The good news is that there is a solution, if we are willing to pay the price. We have to be willing to put Bhagavan Sri Krishna , the Supreme Godhead in the center, rather than our own sense gratification. We are afraid to do this because we identify with our bodies. I am thinking that I am Indian. Some others are thinking that they are American. She is thinking that she’s a woman. He’s thinking that he’s a man. In this way, the illusory bodily conception has engulfed the entire planet. But if we realize that we are all spirit-souls in quality one with Bhagavan Sri Krishna, we can begin to come out of the chaos. And if we are realize that being part of the Bhagavan we are therefore naturally meant to serve Him and actually begin to do so in the company of His genuine devotees, we can completely come out of the Bedlam of material existence into the enlightened realm of Krishna consciousness and be an instrument in the hands of the Bhagavan for bringing back the much desired peace and

prosperity of every man, woman, and child on the face of this planet.Simply by performing the prescribed sacrifice for this age, the sankirtan yajna (chanting of Sri Krishna’s Names) , all happiness will be bestowed on all living beings. Not only will the human beings become happy. The animals will become jolly as well. Sankirtan yajna means the congregational chanting of the holy names of Bhagavan Sri Krishna :

Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare HareHare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare

Any names of Krishna can be chanted, but the above names are especially potent for awakening the dormant love of Bhagavan Sri Krishna within our hearts and are therefore the most highly recommended of all the various names for the Bhagavan.
